Lame pitting. Shagnasty is right in the other thread.
It’s unfortunate that you can’t say the weather is nice in the south without someone jumping in to say “But they are SOOOO racist!”.

Another vote for pit fail.
How would you know?
They are racist.
I know…I lived there for 5 years.
Deal with it.
Defending the actions of people who treated the enemy of their nation better than their fellow citizens isn’t so racist as it is pathetic and revisionist. I suppose, in the right frame of mind those attitudes might charitably be viewed as being slightly better than racism.
Only slightly, though.
I’m not seeing any racism here either.
Revisionist?
revisionism (rɪˈvɪʒəˌnɪzəm)
— n
The second definition.
Claiming that it was OK to treat German POWs better than Black American citizens is historical and social revisionism. It’s now called the Cliven Bundy Defense.
How is it revisionist? They* did *treat the enemy of their nation better than their feloow citizens, are you saying they didn’t? Because that might be seen as racist.
Where did he do that?
What he did meets none of the definition of revisionism. It’s okay if you don’t know the definition of a word. When that happens, try not to use it.
When did he say it was okay?
“albedically challenged.”
Actually, I posted the definition the of the word.
I can read.
Can you?
If not…then you should probably stop having someone else post for you online. It’s not cricket.
Try again. Where did Shagnasty say what you are claiming?
You have now been asked 4 times.
As much as I would love to get into a meaningless Internet argument with someone who I will never meet ( that’s always useful) I’ll pass. I’ve made my points and you disagree with them.
That’s life.
I’ve largely stopped trying to convince bigoted people about the error of their thought processes as it:
A) Implies that thinking is a capability that they possess
B) Might mean that they are willing to change those thought processes ( if they indeed do have them) if presented with contradictory evidence. Historically, that rarely proves to be the case.
We’ll have to just to see things differently and leave it at that.
Reading isn’t the same as comprehension.
Your last couple posts in the thread demonstrate that fact quite well.
Yeah, you lived in the South for 5 years. I grew up there. Yes, there are racists. Has little or nothing to do with your revisionism of another poster’s statements.
Well I’m glad that everyone’s (mostly) agreed the original pitting was a misread and we’re all friends now, but Shagnasty *is *a racist. I’ll be damned before I try to use this POS search function before I’ve had a drink to properly cushion myself from the ensuing rage, but he’s one of those race realist guys. He’s claimed that blacks have, I dunno, the black gene or whatever that causes them to be genetically less intelligent than whites and the whole nine. So there’s that.
This is the gist of it. It seems to me that some people think saying “The South” without mentioning racism is somehow excusing or approving of racism.
What I wonder is if these people do this in real life, or just on message boards.
If your neighbor says “I got a new job and I’m moving to Georgia.” Do you respond by calling them racist?
I comprehend that you sir, are an asshole.
So there’s that…
Again…and I’ll I write this carefully…. you don’t need to agree with me and I certainly don’t agree with you.
The default setting for Southerner Whites is RACIST.
The user has to reset that option themselves.
Most do not.
In other words, you’ve got jack shit.
In the future, please stop making things up out of whole cloth.
Oh, crap. You’re an idiot. I did not know that.
My bad.
