She-Hulk: Attorney at Law

Yeah, I had been thinking that was the reason for including the character here… I kept thinking Jen would pull up a picture of Josh, and he’d go, wait a second, that’s the guy that recruited us to attack you! Wanted your blood for some reason, don’t you know. Weird, huh?

I suspect that both Josh, and the Wrecking Crew, were hired by the same yet-to-be revealed guy (see my post above yours). Trying to get a sample of Jen’s blood with a goon squad didn’t work, so he then went with the more subtle approach.

That’s very well possible, and I think your theory posits a natural candidate, but it could be (might have been?) that Josh is just one rung up the hierarchy, and when his initial plan involving hired muscle failed, he decided to get himself involved.

I’m just waiting for the line from Jen “Oh my God, the vampire was right!” Also, I do want to see these guys back. Maybe a big battle royal. @kenobi_65 I do like your idea, and I think we’ll at least get him hinted at the end ala Thanos.

My guess is: Daredevil next week and an extra-long wrap-up episode for the last one. And hopefully a season 2! I hadn’t seen Tatiana Maslany in anything that I knew of before (her brother is great on Murdoch Mysteries) but she’s so charming and talented! And clearly a great dancer.

Just back to say I really love this show. They are doing such a great job on both the writing and acting. The girl playing Jen is adorable and Shulkie looks really great. Yeah the CGI is a little stiff at times but I think they nailed her appearance and personality. Tim Roth is great too.

I’m wondering how they wrap this up with only 2 30min episodes left though. There’s a lot of ground to cover.

For those appreciating Tatiana’s talent, you owe it to yourself to check out Orphan Black. She plays 4 different people (at least!), and the whatever-it’s-called technology that lets a single person portray 2 or more people on the screen at the same time, as well as how well they pulled off the interaction between said persons, is peerless. Enjoy!

Oh man, feeling so bad for Jennifer.

By the way, I noticed the episode has granted my wish and put the credits entirely after the tag scene. Woohoo!

But now I’m hooked on watching the credits for the ep specific artwork!

It’s called Compositing.

The Orphan Black scene that blew me away was Tatiana playing four characters, all taking a break by dancing around the apartment. She plays four entirely different personalities!

Do check out Orphan Black. I’d heard the name so just watched the first ten minutes… and I was hooked!

spoiler:
Tatiana’s character sees an identical twin of herself calmly put down her purse, fold up her jacket, and… step in front of a speeding subway train. So, petty criminal that she is, while everyone’s going nuts, she calmly picks up the purse… and the dead woman’s identity.
Which turns out to be a cop… serious yet oh-so-fun plot twists ensue.

I’ll have to say the one thing that the show (and Maslany) has really succeeded in doing is make me empathize deeply with Jennifer. Her successes thrill me and her setbacks dismay me. When I saw the opening scenes, I was so thrilled, and when I saw the final scene, I just felt so awful.

We are also enjoying the light fluffiness of it. Reminds me of Ally McBeal with a super hero twist.

I did wonder where Emile’s wives were. I also wouldn’t have been surprised when they get her to change back if they had attacked her at that moment. I’m also curious if this means that they are vulnerable in their non Hulk form, if he managed to get blood from Jen?

I look forward to this!

Shouldn’t she, or her blood, be… radioactive?

I wouldn’t assume so, or else Bruce would have been a lot more careful around people? I think the radiation was just the engine for Hulking, so to speak?

Maybe Jen not being radioactive is a Required Secondary Power?

I got to see Maslany on Broadway in Network a few years ago, with Bryan Cranston.

My seat was actually on the stage; part of the set was a cafe where some of the audience was served food and drinks. Maslany had a sex scene (fully clothed, alas) at the table next to mine—she kicked me in the leg at the scene’s, um, climax.

I’m loving this show; I find I enjoy Marvel properties more the less seriously they take themselves.

Awesome story to tell the grand’kids!

I just saw the episode with Madisynn “with two n and a y, but it’s not where you thii-ink!”. I loved the way she (implied) got through the goat transactions with the demon called Jake without spilling any of her cocktail. But what’s about her catch-phrase? Would it normally be spelled Madysonn? Is there some double entendre?

I think it’s just supposed to be, “she’s not particularly sharp and thinks her name is clever.” If she hadn’t been the standout character of that episode thanks to the excellent performance, it would work much better as a throwaway line.

That’s pretty much what I was going to say. She thinks she is making a clever joke but it doesn’t really make sense.
