I’m pretty sure Bruce IS very careful around people. (Don’t know how careful Hulk was on Sakaar, but that’s a different personality.)
I remember the opening scene of the Incredible Hulk movie involved Bruce cutting himself by accident in a soda bottling plant and he was careful to clean up all the blood (to the best of his ability…although one drop fell into a soda bottle that was eventually consumed by Stan Lee. I don’t believe that was ever followed up on in-story).
I have seen people thinking Josh is the guy behind the web site but unless I read the screen wrong it looked to me he was Texting the guy to tell him via emoji that he got the blood (taking a pic of her while she was sleeping was just the creep icing on that cake).
In the short scene at the end of the previous episode, a lab was shown, with some lab tech guys and a new, improved syringe (the previous one being bent against She-Hulk’s skin when the Wrecking Crew attacked her).
How, exactly, Josh got the blood wasn’t shown on screen, but we’re led to assume that, after Jen had fallen asleep, Josh had used the new syringe to extract a blood sample from her. I suppose it’s also possible that he slipped her a drug to make sure she didn’t wake up during that, but that, too, isn’t shown.
Well, it normally wouldn’t be spelled with a ‘y’ at all.
To me, it’s meant to be two jokes in one. You roll your eyes and think at first: Of course, this person spells her name with a ‘y’ and you do instinctively think it’s where the ‘i’ would be. Then they pull a switch, because replacing the ‘o’ adds a second layer of ridiculousness.
The thing is, we know that Bruce can instantly change into Hulk when a physical threat is encountered - remember he said he put a bullet in his mouth, and the other guy spit it out? So presumably as soon as you tried to stick a needle into Jen she’d Hulk out, even if you drugged her first.
Bruce also did that when he and Hulk were two different personalities. It’s not that he changed as a reflex - it’s that Hulk actively stopped him. See also: Bruce faceplanting on the Rainbow Bridge (and probably breaking a bunch of bones in the process) because Hulk refused to come out.
Penultimate episode dropped this morning, and I enjoyed the hell out of it. We finally get Daredevil! I liked how they introduced him into the series. The interplay between Matt and Jen was just cutesy enough, and the Daredevil/She-Hulk team-up was fun.
Then again, I’m a huge Daredevil fan, and have been since I was a kid, and I loved Charlie Cox’s characterization of him. So I could be a bit biased.
I want to say that Todd is involved in the slut-shaming, but it seems like that’s too obvious. Like they want him to be the red herring.
Great episode, great teamup, and Charlie Cox is just so good as Daredevil/Murdock. The, “oh crap, is the next episode the finale?” monologue was very funny. And I think maybe the CGI was a little better overall? Not just the fighting, but the general movement and facial expressions.
The final shot of the episode, with Jen looking at the camera but being too distraught to actually break the 4th wall, was maybe my favorite of the entire series so far.
Thoughts during the episode. I was DMing a friend as we both watched it.
Frog guy’s supersuit was definitely inflammable. And protection only up to 900 degrees is not enough in this superpowered world.
Jen’s employer really shouldn’t have made her violate professional ethics like that. And her tailor dropping her as a client was a predictable consequence.
Ooh, important background info, the Sokovia Accords were repealed, has that been revealed anywhere else?
She-Hulk’s superhero outfit turned out to look very much like one she had in the comics.
I thought Matt was going to “win” that fight with She-Hulk by escaping, due to his experience. I was very surprised when Jen caught him.
Property damage, Jen! Whose car was that you picked up to throw?
In the comics, it was Spider-Man who got Daredevil to get rid of his original red-yellow color scheme.
Daredevil doing the Superhero walk of shame!
“Female lawyer of the year” is sexist and insulting, IMHO. This isn’t athletics. I had that thought before I saw the prize was shared.
Jen was justified in smashing the screen wall, to protect her privacy. She should pay to fix it, of course.
I predict she’s gonna get fired after scaring everybody, though. Maybe she’ll move to NYC and work with Matt Murdock.
So did the Intelligencia guys call Damage Control with the sonic guns? Because they showed up very quickly. And I’m not 100% on the yellow/red suit, but it was good to see him back and there was obvious chemistry. Granted, these are two very likable and sexy people.
