She's back! Palin endorses Trump

These are people of the land. The common clay of The New West. You know…(all together now) morons.

Which one is the top?

Are the residents of say South Side Chicago or East Los Angeles also morons? Why or why not?

I heard the speech on TV in a restaurant. I marveled at how she tried dismissively to explain away the sudden one-eighty in the definition of conservative ideology which, until recently, favored free trade, indifference to the prosperity of the working class, and low taxes on the rich (ala her hero Reagan), but now, apparently, means the exact opposite.

Another high point was her trying to paint Trump as a ‘self-made’ friend of the rural working man because he contracted to put his name on skyscrapers built in major cities with mobbed-up labor.

I forget, are we at war with East Asia, or Oceania?

Also, how long until one of her followers launches the meme that son Track’s drunken domestic violence spree occuring the same night as mom’s big comeback is “too much” of a coincidence, and blames the ‘lamestream media’?

Glad to see that she’s been eating well and has hired Doris Roberts as her fashion consultant. Lucky Tina Fey gets to gorge herself on milkshakes and cheeseburgers to get ready to play her on SNL.

The value for this from Trump’s point of view is that it robs the rest of the candidates any face time on the news. It was all Trump and Palin last night and perhaps today as well. I suspect there was already a lot of overlap between Palin supporters and Trump supporters, perhaps her endorsement didn’t bring a lot of voters with it. But it does to a degree anoint Trump as heir to the Tea Party throne and denies this to Cruz.

Back to Palin, I think from a personal point of view it could have and should have waited. Her son was going through a crisis the previous night, it seems to me that she should have attended to family matters first. But what the hell do I know about family values, I’m a Democrat.

Once again, I tuned into her speech last night not knowing whether I was watching SNL or CNN.

Spooning. Palin behind Trump, wearing a strap on. (all rights reserved)

Trump: Drill, baby, drill!

V^How have you seen my cover art already?

Now I really want to see this made.

Many years ago there was an article in National Lampoon where they talked about Sally Struthers and her high-pitched screechy voice, and how as she got older it had reached a pitch that only dogs could hear. Listening to Palin’s remarks, I think she is quickly approaching that level. She pretty much makes my ears bleed every time she opens her mouth.

I am absolutely convinced that Trump does not want to be President. And this turning into a nightmare for him because the more he tries to throw the campaign with crazy talk, the more popular he gets.

It’s a shame the woman he assaulted didn’t have a gun also.

The NY Daily News, continuing with their roll of great front pages lately, agrees.

Silly boy – she had to move fast to push that story onto the back burner.

A few years ago when the Wasila Warblegarbler was still semi-relevant, we noticed that one of our Siamese cats would put his ears back when her voice emanated from the TV.

This is really the meat of the matter. And I think any D person whether candidate, voter, or anywhere in between who underestimates the potentially vast number of fired-up know-nothing rightists this will energize is in for a very bad surprise in November.

Yup. This thread is proof. The same people who laughed at Reagan and Bush the Lesser are laughing now. This is a knockout punch for Trump, there won’t be a brokered GOP convention, Trump will have it wrapped up in delegates and only Jeb! will be left trying to lead a revolution with his one or two delegates. Having spent virtually nothing on the campaign Trump will be facing a broke Democratic opponent. And not a strong Democratic candidate either, because there isn’t one running.

I know a lot of people think the “Turkeys” episode of WKRP in Cincinnati was the funniest one, but I was always partial to the one where Carlson runs for City Council. He decides he doesn’t really want win, and he tries desperately to sabotage his own campaign. God, that episode was funny. Well, I mean, it used to be funny of course. Now, I, I…

Sonuvabitch, gimme a drink.

I’d click on that link, but I’m afraid it would give me night sweats.

If Trump picks Palin as his VP for impeachment insurance, it won’t work. Maybe Palin is depending on the same thing that was proposed for Hillary - everything the other party can think up has been said about her already.

I’m still clinging to the hope that sanity will prevail once the primaries get started.

Shodan
