Think of it as a sort of combination of riffing off the adulation of Obama that Liberal and others are dumping into GD on a near-daily basis, and the accusations of Obama-as-Muslim. Muhammed is adored as the central figure of Islam; Obama is the central figure of the cult of Obamania.
