Well now you gotta go spending all KINDS of money to do that!
Driving the Mazdaspeed3 (263 HP and 280 torque) convinced me that forced induction is a good substitute for cubic inches. Its a blast. Just not as sweet-sounding as a V8.
I’m surprised it has that much torque, and that it has more torque than horsepower. Generally speaking turboed four bangers are the reverse of that in my experience.
There ain’t no substitute for cubes.
Thanks, I may consider it, but I object to the idea that I’d be driving a Fit in a game like that. I bought the Fit because of good gas mileage, because it was cheap, because I trust Honda, because it was cute.
What I WANT is a car that makes people drool and goes VROOOOOOOOOOMMmmmmmmmmmmm…
So, a Fit upgraded with all the race goodies (except the stupid cosmetic crap) like upgraded suspension, race slicks, forced induction (turbo/supercharging), race lightening (removing unnecessary stuff to drop unsprung weight) and the like, a Fit capable of 3 second 0-60 times and 1G plus skid pad numbers, but looks no different than a bone stock Fit, holds no appeal?
A Fit that can hang with Porsche 911’s, BMW’s, Astons and the like?
'cause you can do that in Forza 4…
Heck, my favorite car in my Forza garage is “Little Crazy Horse”, a fully race-modded, super charged/intercooled, all wheel drive (95% to the rear wheels, 5% to the front) 5.0 liter V8 powered…
Ford Pinto!
Yes, a Pinto… well, more honestly, a pinto-shaped race car, it eats Bugatti Veyrons for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and a midnight snack…
And LCH is in the club garage to boot, so you could experience the insanity yourself
Ho-lee shit. If I could have gotten any of that I would have gotten the Sport, instead of the little plastic accessories that the Sport actually came with. (I am not paying more money unless you give me a better engine!)
oh, like i’ll EVER have that much money…
no, the '63 'vette is just the car i would get if i had all the money in the world…
I wish mine looked this good, but it’s still in the restoration process. Mine is silver and has a black top.
Ever since a buddy of mine had one when I was young and stupid, I’ve wanted a Sunbeam Tiger. But the price was always just a bit out of my reach. Back then, a used one in decent shape was maybe a couple grand. Now, they’re north of $20K for a basket case, and way, way further up the scale for a cherry original or one that’s been well restored. Too much for my blood for something that would just be a toy car.
My fave is my 2000 'Vette.
Agh! What are you doing letting that sit outside in the rain? Get a cover for that awesome car!
This is my favorite car, I have owned it since it was 16 years old (it is now 50 years old) - and I restored it.
Somebody in San Jose got it has a high school graduation present in 1962 or 1963 - bet they’d be surprised to know that it is still around.
Cute, but they had a well-deserved reputation for catching on fire. The Elise is better in that respect.
This thread is porn for car-enthusiasts.
I have lusted after far too many cars than I can possibly list here including the original Mini Cooper S, the Group B Mini (rally car), half the Ferraris ever made, the Audi TT (fantastic styling!), I’d like to take the Zonda F for a spin or the old Group C Silk Cut Jaguar, a Shelby mustang and a Shelby CanAm car. And, oh, so much more.
