Shuffing off to Irk- A MMP

Very small cookies.

Cookie crumbs?

Like these.

Whole grain, gotta be good for you.

**Spidey **- I actually thought of that, believe it or not!

Back from delivering 8 pots to the store. I’d have had 12, but 4 sold shortly after I posted pics. OK, to be fair, my sis had ordered 2 of them last month, but still…

I’ve got beef burgundy simmering on the stove. Taz has been breaking into the pantry trying to get to the catnip. Apparently while I was gone, he succeeded, and **FCD **came in to find nip all over the floor. Taz has a substance abuse problem!

We got about 10 minutes of sun, but it’s overcast again. Glad I didn’t try to do laundry today - it gives me something to look forward to tomorrow!!

yeah.

Howdy from da cave! Let the weekend begin! WOOHOO!!! Ok not so much woohoo as I have to get out there and mow da yahd. Sigh. Why won’t it just mow itself?

MOOOOOM lovin’ the stuff! As I post my MOOOOOOM original paper clip holder is to my right.

OYKW is gonna stop and swipe the general’s dindin. That works for me!

Ok, gonna go start to motivate myself toward goin’ out and gettin’ busy. Note I did not say Ima go start right now. Just motivate myself toward the idea.

I shall consider thinking about beginning to motivate myself, and the actions thereof.

I just dumped the onions and mushrooms into the simmering beef burgundy. Rice is in the steamer. Supper will be a bit early today, but **FCD **skipped lunch so he’s hungry.

The sun has popped out again.

**FCD **is watching something on TV about language, and they were doing a bit on southern expressions - including Death Chicken!! Cracked me up!

Y’all, I’m fixin’ to begin thinking about beginning to motivate myself, and the actions thereof.

Supper was quite good - I was glad to find a recipe that didn’t call for cream-of-something soup. It’s definitely a keeper!

I’m really tired - I see an early night tonight. Hope I can sleep - last night wasn’t very restful, which explains why I’m dragging today. Retirement is exhausting!

It’s sunny again. It’s supposed to be sunny tomorrow so I get to do laundry - YAY!

I think I’ll assume the recliner position now. MWAH!

Not only have I done all that but I accomplished the trimmin’ of some bushes and haulin’ off of debris from said trimmin’. Plus I have ingested the general’s dindin. Gettin’ that out of the way so’s I could get it to the place where debris is hauled before they close at six was major. However, mowage still needs to happen. It’s ninety Amurrkin out and hyoooooooomid. Alas. I shall wait a bit longer and then have at it.

MOOOOOOM what’s innerestin’ is death chikin was brought to us by rigs who is a definite midwesterner.

(grump) Sitting in a parking lot awaiting a tow truck. We think a coolant hose popped.

Swampy? FCM? Is Death Chicken anything like Death (Funeral) Potatoes? Or am I totally off the rails in my thinkin’?
Here in my little corner of Indiana, that’s what we call chicken, and potatoes, served at the post-funeral reception/gathering.

Here’s the link to the Death Chicken recipe. It’s found in the MMP Cookbook:

I make it more often in the winter. My husband actually prefers it if I crisp up the bacon some before putting lining the bottom of the baking dish with it.

We took our son out to one of his favorite eating spots. It’s on the way to Mt. Rainier and is a little local eatery in a small town. They have gigantic chicken fried steaks. They’re so big, they take up a plate all on their own and the sides are served on a separate plate. I ate a Boar Burger which was quite tasty.

Now, we’re all just relaxing. Tomorrow, we’re going to a friend’s place to BBQ. There will be badminton and horseshoes too.

Ah, ok. Thank you, Taters! Yep. That’s what I was thinkin’ it was.

Tempura batter instructions from some nice stuff we bought at Joe’s Oriental Grocery.
Maybe it’s Bob’s…Anyway, it reads like cooking instructiond from Mr. Spock.

Spock: “Place 3.52 ounces of Yissine Tempura Batter Mix with 4.22 Fl. Oz. water in a bowl.”

McCoy: “It’s three and a half ounces, Spock! And four Gawd damn ounces of water!”

Mowage has been achieved! Not only mowage of da cave yahd but also mowage of OYKW’s yahd. I thought it was goin’ to rain at anytime while this was happenin’ but outside of a few sprinkles, nuttin’. We’re promised tstorms overnight. We shall see. Anywho, we’s all showered and have been sittin’ on the back porch enjoyin’ the cool down that happened. A very nice breeze even. OYKW has gone to bed and I suspect snoozin’ away. I’m tahrd but still a little wired so I’m not ready for sleepy time yet.

ace death chikin is da bomb! Like taters I prefer to crisp the bacon first. Also, we prefer it with dark meat as opposed to white meat. Laigs and thighs make for some good death chikin eatin’!

flytrap did you do it as precisely stated? If not, you did not acheive optimum flavor. Of course, this is from somebody who eyeballs measurements. Measurin’ implements? We don’t need no stinkin’ measurin’ implements!

Strangely enough, when I converted the measurements to centigrams, everything came out even.
Imagine that!

flytrap I am, indeed, in shock, shock I say!

There’s some serious snoozin’ goin’ on in the bedroom. I think I shall go join in. Da bear is now feelin’ the need for sleepy time.

Nitey Nite Y’all!
