Then why, in Og’s name, did you scour the Earth for strawberries to make pie?
I had a cinnamon roll for lunch and cheese and crackers for dinner.
I’m hungry but nothing sounds good.
It’s been a slow day, mostly just irking and talking with my mother, since there was nobody here to stick their noses in the conversation. The female HFH was working and my mothers bf went shopping. I swear man will get up off his death bed, tell death to hold the thought, go to walmart, then come back and die.
My room needs a good cleaning but I don’t feel like doing it today.
You know, older women with saggy cleavage shouldn’t wear low cut tops on TV. Just a random thought.
My grandmother made a strawberry pie for my birthday one year. I didn’t have the heart to tell her I don’t like strawberries. I managed to choke down two pieces, and I kept asking everybody else to have some. I finally had to tell her the truth, at which point everybody else chowed down on the pie. If they had done it when I asked them to I could have spared grandmas feelings.
I didn’t scour the earth - I drove to Rose’s stand, which is all of 1/2 mile from the house. And I made it because the other occupant of the house likes strawberry pie. He’s eaten 2 more pieces since last night. I make lots of things for him that I don’t particularly like.
Speaking of things I make, I found this recipe on FB and I made it tonight - very yum!
Roasted Parm Zucchini Spears
4 medium zucchinis
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
olive oil
Preheat oven to 350°
Cut the zucchinis in quarters, length-wise. Set aside.
Line a baking sheet with foil.
Place zucchinis on the baking sheet and drizzle with olive oil.
Sprinkle on grated Parmesan cheese (and any other spices desired).
Bake for 12-15 minutes.
Broil for the last 2 minutes until the cheese is more browned.
Spousal unit claims not to like zucchini, but he ate 3 pieces. So I will be making this again.
MOOOOOOM that sounds good. I learned to like zuchinni as an adult. I will, however, never learn to like those little green balls of death known as fart blossoms.
Sigh.
I worked, I laundered, I napped with the beast.
I stopped liking them after Mom(N.O.M.?) planted some, amd we had to eat a billion of them. And the Bishop is in Savannah? The See by the sea!
FCM, this sounds delicious! Hopefully, my zucchini will produce well, and I’ll give it a try! Of course, I’ll be the only one to eat it, since no one else likes them but me. Babies. Jeez.
What drugs were involved in the way Google Calendar “works”? I can’t get to-do tasks to sync to my phone, and the week view insists on printing on two pages even when I very firmly tell it to use portrait mode.
Fresh Mahi was yummy. I even cleaned up afterwards. Thankfully hubby fries on the porch so most of the smell stays outside.
Tomorrow is inventory day, credit card day, and myriad other first of the month tasks. Plus new lady starts irk tomorrow. We shall see.
Tired and sleepy. Gonna call it a day.
It’s yummy, but it stinks.
Okay…
I have cleaned too many aquariums to like fish.
But I digress.
Tempura zucchini is good.
Of course, **anything **tempura is good.
Solution to the task sync problem involved another app for the phone. Still haven’t figured out the week view problem yet.
Tempura nails? Tempura rat? Tempura pom pom crab?:dubious:
Towels and sheets laundered, supper cleaned up, irk prep done and the freshly made bed with clean linens becketh. Night all.
Post went bye bye? Strange …
They have abandoned this thread, as they do each week, and gone [here.](A Jug of Wine, a Loaf of Bread–and Thou)
