When I say accepted mayhaps a little too gleefully, I should explain that I did stop short of turnin’ cartwheels and poppin’ open the champagne. I do have some restraint bein’ as I am all suave, couth, kempt, and sheveled.
I’m told local produce guy has fresh strawberries, cantaloupe (ain’t got a ladder! HAH! I crack me up!), and watermelon. I foresee a trip to local produce guy on the way to da cave. Then again, I could just send OYKW bein’ as his irkplace is actually closer to local produce guy. HMMMMMM… that sounds like an even better plan!
Howdy from da cave! I was nice and stopped and got the melons and strawberries. OYKW wants pizza tonight so Ima order online and he’ll go pick up. The poke tenderloin, succotash, and wild rice I planned for tonight can be dindin tomorrow. Might even go ahead and make it tonight to nukulate tomorrow.
It’s gettin’ cloudy out. I’m hopin’ for some rain out of all that.

Guess what! The person I was goin’ to fire came in this mornin’ and resigned instead.

Well, that saved some paperwork!

…my GB issue is related to sludge, not stones, so it may be different than what you experience. … The sludge issue is a side effect of the gastric bypass I had 9 years ago…

Apparently bariatric surgeons have learned about this over the years. I think DH’s surgeon routinely and proactively yanks the little green buggers as long as he’s in the neighborhood.

Ok you all. Tell me what symptoms you had with a gallbladder attack.
Now for the fun one… Ask my brothers! Two of my brothers have gone in for gall bladder removals in the past two weeks.    Really bizarre coincidence as they’re different ages and life in different states.
For us, 1999 was the year of the gallbladder. Mine came out in June, my sister’s in early autumn, and spousal unit’s in November (on his birthday, no less!) My daughter started worrying about when hers would fail…
Wow Wiki!!!
Swampy Years ago I worked for a mens clothing manufacturer (one of the worst jobs I ever had but that is another story).
Anyway several of the women on the floor noticed that one man was noticeably heavier when he was going home each day. Security checked him out and found out he had several suits on under his clothes. They made him remove the suits and escorted him out the door.
The next day he showed up to work. Nobody had told him he was fired, he figured he got caught, gave the suits back and wouldn’t steal anymore. He had no idea he would be fired.
sari fired just for stealin’? Tough employer!
Pizza has been ingested and OYKW went to his place to deal with some paperirk, poor thing. Also it’s thunderatin’ all around so I hope we get some rain soon. I’d love it if’n it rained all night.
gotti I’d say a good two to three inches of paperirk.
Ladies and gentlemen, I’m back. My new Samsung monitor arrived this morning and the cable adapters this afternoon. It’s hooked up and working beautifully. But now my desk needs serious reorganization. One hurdle at a time.
Supper was pancakes. Easy but not all that great because, for some stupid reason, I cannot make decent pancakes.
I can cope with pancakes but somehow cannot achieve good scrambled eggs. I always wind up with watery stuff in the bottom of the serving dish.
We are having breakfast for supper tonight. Eggs, grits, bacon and cheese toast. Yum.
Kewl!
(I think that is Yiddish.)
Rosie yay for new monitor!
Butters yum!
I am so yaaaaaawwwwnnnny. Just. Can’t. Stop. YAAAAAAAWWWWWWNNNNNN
I’ve started the kiln - it’ll be warming gradually for the next 4 hours, holding at 180°. Then it’ll climb at 300°/hr, followed by a slower ramp up till it hits 2151° and holds for 10 minutes. At that point, the heating elements turn off and it’ll cool at its own pace. I probably won’t be able to unload it till Firday, but I’ll post pics before I sent the various items to their new homes or to the store.
Meanwhile, I’m going to assume the knit position for the evening. MWAH!
I worked, I drove home though the traffic. I drank a beer. I still have a functional gall bladder.
No, {{{{hugs}}}}, and what sticky said.
: crosses appropriate and inappropriate appendages for sticky :
Yay for the monitor, rosie.
Ruble, I never miss a chance for a Python or Doctor Who reference.
Bobbio, now i have ZZ Top stuck in my head.
Dinner is eaten. Used meat pork chops, with my chipolte BBQ sauce.
swampy, what time is supper tomorrow night?
rosie, Yay! You’re back.
Ran errands after irk tonight, so supper was from the pirate’s drive-thru. Finished up June’s bulletin board and now it’s time to vegetate.
Morning all!
I missed one bit of the trip last week out, a bit of news we’re s’posed to be keeping secret still, but I need to tell someone 'cos I’m dead excited about it, and you lot don’t count.
We have babby kittehs! White, spotty ones! Two of em!
We’re just waiting until they’re a bit bigger til any announcement’s made, as so much could still go wrong at the moment, but it’s been 3 days and mummy snow leopard seems to be looking after 'em fine so far!
Mum just sent me a photo. I’d prob’ly better not post it until it’s official though. Please cross any available appendages
Nuts! That’s fantastic news! I’ve crossed all appendages that can be crossed, and a couple that shouldn’t!
It’s another boring day in nonacetone land. I’ll be going to get some groceries, fill up the gas tank in the car, and picking up a package that my husband ordered. Other than that, not much is happening around here. I guess that’s a good thing, though.
We got some much needed rain last night. It came down hard, and it lasted awhile. As soon as it is light enough to see, I need to go out and check the gardens, and see how all the vegetable plants survived.
Have a good day, everyone.
Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffienatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 68 Amurrkin out with a predicted high of 90 and maybe rain. Sattidy’s chance of rain is 60 percent, of course, which means it will rain. Mowage will need to happen this evenin’ or tomorrow evenin’ then. Rah.
Nuts yay for baby leopard kittehs! Can’t wait to see the pics!
Red show up around five-thirty.
Today and tomorrow I deal with state monitors. No biggie. As I said, I’m as ready as I’ll ever be. What needs fixin’ will get fixed, but for the most part, I say everything is good. My boss will be here as well, but she’s pretty much not too big of a pain so there’s that.
Now I need more caffiene and rumbly tummy is hongry. Then, irk purtification must commence, alas.
Happy Thursday Y’all!
