She could get 20 years in prison. He’ll be just the right age for marrying when he gets out.
Uh yeah…I live in Connecticut, luckily not in the same town, but it just goes to show you how mentally ill some of the population is. The mother of the child is (obviously) distraught, but the worse part of the whole thing is the woman who perpetrated the sexual assault, let her own 7 year old child watch. :eek:
I can’t imagine anything I would consider an appropriate punishment, but jail time doesn’t sound harsh enough (to me anyways).

I wonder about mental competence in this case. A woman who says that she considers an eight year old to be her “boyfriend” shows a certain disconnection from reality.

I hope the DFCS agency in her area of CT has made steps to remove her 7 year old daughter from her custody. For whatever reason, this woman cannot be trusted to care for any child.

Her daughter ought, indeed, to be removed from her custody immediately. I agree that 20 years doesn’t sound like enough of a punishment, but I don’t know what would. I just hope she’s not unleashed on society any time soon.
I agree, but even if she’s nuts by legal standards, she needs to be locked up far, far from any children.
