Sign Of The Prophets?

Hitchhiking thru Santa Barbara in the early 80’s, I came across this penciled on the back of a road sign:

  1. Listen to God
  2. Trust your neighbor
  3. Share
  4. Pick up after your self
  5. Have fun

I took them to be God’s 5 “Commandments” to us.
It took me thirty years to bring John into conformity but he considers it worth the effort.
One thing he learned is that God is heard only in Silence and that learning to still thought is a lot like trying to herd cats.

Have fun. Aloha

Rock on, Simon and Garfunkel?

Rock on, Simon and Garfunkel!
Aloha

I’m sorry, but a road sign is neither a subway wall nor a tenement hall. Try again.

I’m claustrophobic. Aloha

If the sign was well-lit, it could be the neon god they [the people] made, to which they bowed and prayed.

Rock on!

Aloha

I’m still waiting for the “come on” from the whores on 7th Avenue.

[I know, I’m in the wrong song.]

If you’re not in NYC, in the wrong town, too. Aloha

Sorry, it can’t be considered a True Sign if it doesn’t end with Burma-Shave.

I remember them well. Aloha

I thought the Prophets sent Orbs? Besides, they operate out near Bajor, not here.
