Signs of Spring

A good rule of thumb is, whenever you have a choice of things to do and one of those choices is taking a nap, take the nap. There’s always stuff to do but never enough time for naps I always say.

I cleaned up my back porch yesterday. Pressure washed the walls, floor and wiped down all the furniture. Then I had a nap. ACBG and I entertained some friends for dinner yesterday. We, meaning mostly me. I bbqued ribs, made potato salad and baked beans and even had to toast the bread all by myself. All he had to do was go to the DQ and pick up an ice cream cake. HMMMMPH! He made up for it today by taking me out to lunch this afternoon. Now he’s home doing laundry and stuff cause he stayed at my house Friday and Saturday nights. He had to work for a little while yesterday, so I guess I can forgive him for not helping with dinner, but still, I had to clean my porch and get dinner ready all by myself. So, like FCM, even though it’s not really his fault, I can milk it a bit, right?

Did you get chocolate FCM? If you haven’t yet, I suggest you develop a slight limp in the leg you got kicked in. Guilt never hurts, after all.

I celebrated finally getting over the crud I had by cleaning out my garage. Yay! Which resulted in a lot more sneezing, but that’s good all the dust I sneezed out will make sure those germs are all gone.

I didn’t really clean out my entire garage, that would takes weeks of full-time work but I cleaned out some junk and straightened up a bit and I found lots of things. I found my birth certificate in a box in the garage, that probably wasn’t the best place to keep it.

Oh, and my neck was finally feeling better so of course I made sure to have something fall on my head while I was cleaning the garage. I was putting a cooler up on a shelf and my hand slipped and it slipped back and bounced off my head. So I will probably spend the next week with whiplash. I found one of my old neck braces when I cleaned out the garage so all I need to do is wash it and I’m all set.

It’s a little late for that - the limp, I mean. We spent a big chunk of today walking around looking at motorcycles. Today was Blessing of the Bikes at the Charles County Fairgrounds. We drove, since my sweetie’s bike needs to be serviced after an idle winter. But we looked at a gajillion bikes and watched a kinda pathetic bike rodeo. I really don’t much like bike-related stuff, but he does, and it was a pretty day out. I think I got some sun…

But no chocolate. I’m not so petty… And I really don’t need chocolate, so…

What, you don’t NEED chocolate?

Who are you? And what have you done with FairyChatMom?
