The part where I say that it doesn’t matter because even if he was town, he was still suiciding and it makes sense to let a suiciding player die. Especially on Day One when there’s no good evidence of anything else.
You keep pointing out the tie as if it’s some sort of ‘gotcha,’ but I’m not sure what you think you’re proving. Yes, his play made very little sense. What is that supposed to prove?
His play was bad, but so was suiciding. It was basically a self-vote, there are very few circumstances where that’s not an anti-town play, and I don’t think any of those few circumstances can happen in a vanilla game like this.
You’re the one who is trying to make me look bad for letting him die, but the way I see it, you are the only one who was advocating for a 50/50 coin flip between a known anti-town Prof. P and an unknown quantity PCM. I say this because the only way that **Prof P. ** could have “reconsidered” his actions would have been to use his vote to create another tie, either between himself and PCM or himself and Fair Rarity. When you urged him to reconsider, you were basically urging him to put those two players on the line in favor of him.
Now if you’re scummy lying scum, and you know he’s town, then this makes sense as a slip. You’re just telling a townie player to stay alive. If you’re town, and you don’t know Prof. P’s alignment, you’re not okay with that.
You are the scummy player in this scenario, Biotop.
I unvoted because my own reasoning seemed a bit flawed, and I almost felt like I was voting out of spite since Fair Rarity had voted for me for no good reason.
A quick post and vote before going to work. I reread the game again last night. Pretty easy to catch up on the later evening postings this morning as there were none. How can we hope to get anywhere this way?
Vote Fair Rarity
I have yet to find one post where **Fair Rarity **is actually trying to find Scum. Not one. She is new here, but that does not forego an obligation to try.
Circumstantial evidence has built up against one player:
Vote Johnny Bravo
In #81 Day 1, he FOS without vote snfaulkner. (they may be Scum partners)
He’s been voting Biotop who appears Townie to me.
He’s posted about rules, something Scum might do to avoid appearing inactive.
He refused to break the Day 1 tie. If both PCM and Prof. were Town, Scum would not want to vote either.
Yes, this case is very flimsy, but it’s the best I got. When I consider other possible Scum and try to figure out who their Scum partner might be, all roads lead to Johnny.
I’m not sure you have any room to accuse me of inactivity this game.
But I tell you what, why don’t you at least comment on the specifics of my case against Biotop? You say he seems town to you, and you also say that I seem scummy because I refused to break the tie. Since all of that has been tenderdized by me in my previous data dumps, it would make sense for you to do me the courtesy of at least taking the time to debunk my case rather than just voting for me and admitting that it’s a shit vote, right?
If “all roads lead to Johnny,” it’s only because I’m the only one who’s been arsed to actually take the time to try and build a case against somebody.
Biotop said something like “Scum need to lie every time they post”; later he explained why this is true even for innocuous “truthful” posts. This is a good, helpful observation.
This is a different, also valid, perspective. The whole discussion is very Meta-, hardly worth a vote. Especially since:
But Johnny doubled-down.
Last time I played with Johnny he was Scum and persisted in a bad case without considering other cases.
I realize my case against Johnny is very weak. I still have 30 hours left to find a better case, right? Meanwhile it seemed best to point out my suspicions.
Sorry guys just got a poke from the mod, I am playing , just returned from UK for a funeral last week and back at work and suddenly it is Wednesday . Working on this tonight
My initial gut was Texcat as scummy, I did not like their comment that they were happy with either a PCM or Prof lynch as we both appeared equally scummy. Could well be a wolf just letting either town player get lunched and keeping a clean voting slate. Admittedly I haven’t read the last 3 pages yet so if texcat has claimed some role and is actually town then I will indeed look foolish
This seems to be making some sense to me. Johnny B Does seem to be pushing really hard against Biotop for just pointing out basic strategy. I still have a few hours to make up my mind and vote, but here’s how I’m leaning right now:
**snf, ** I am confused by your having both Johnny B and Biotop in your FOS list. If JohnnyB flips scum, what will you think of Biotop? What if he flips town, what will you think of Biotop then?
Initial thought - strong town lean on septimus , if he were scum he would know both Prof and I were town so why work he get involved in last minute schnanigans ?
As I said up thread, Biotop is only on my suspicions list because he has proven to be a conniving mastermind in previous games. Bamboozling me right down to the very end of last game. I do not (yet) have a reason to suspect him in this game for anything done in this game.
Sorry, I seemed to have not answered you actual question directly. If JB flips scum, it would indicate Biotop would be town. Which would be great for us Simpletons.
If JB flips townie, it will yet again prove how stupid I am.
Not much at the moment . Kind of slight town read on SNF and Kimble if only for the flimsy reason that they both talked ( along with Mahaloth) about set up. Something that there has been very little of, which is odd for a closed setup . Scum would probably happily avoid that discussion for defeat of giving something away .
