Simpletown Mafia the Third

True, I need to try, but I don’t see much evidence to go on yet. EVERYTHING is suspicious and no patterns emerge so quickly. So I’m not trying as hard as I will later because it’s just a lot of confusion for me. I tend to overthink and get myself really confused too, so slow and steady works better for me being right.

Bio often comes across as a diligent scum hunter , so buggered if I know there.

Fair rairity seams to be getting to know the game here , so can’t say much about them ( and I am hardly in a position to criticize lurking today)
That leaves JB and TC

Thinking about biotop trying to persuade the prof not to suicide, the prof could have switched to Kimble . If bio was scum that would indicate kimbal is town , I’d bio is twon , well doesn’t say a whole lot .

Post 176 by JB seams to suggest that lynching bio confirms me. Worried by that post as it just seams that JB is excessively sure I am town . Scum know I am but JB over confidence seams odd

VOTE Johnny Bravo

TC is also on my list , hanging back and providing helpful little prods , scum directing the conversation ? One day I will be right about TC .

I think that there was at least one scum on the combined Prof P/PCM wagon on Day 1. (Especially if there are 3 scum.) TexCat and I have seemed to think similarly throughout the game, so I’m inclined to think of her as town. I know I’m town. Prof P is definitely town. That leaves the Prof P wagon.

As of post 206, all of the end-of-day Prof P voters are voting for Johnny. Personally, it looks to me like Johnny and Biotop are both town. (As a matter of fact, I think it’s more likely they’re both scum and distancing themselves from each other than one of them is scum and the other is town.)

I’m not really sure which of those three voters (septimus, PCM, and snfaulkner) are scum. I actually think snfaulkner’s least likely of those three to be scum, as evidenced by the fact that I haven’t voted for him. However, I think at this moment my voting for him is the best way to get scum lynched at the end of the Day.

Unvote septimus
Vote snfaulkner

I probably won’t be able to be active at the deadline, but I’ll do my best to check in when I can.

Unbelievable.

Not a single person voting me has so much as commented on my case on Biotop, and now I’ve got a train going. If you’re going to throw me to the wolves, at least have a reason for it beyond “I realize my case against Johnny is very weak” and “pushing really hard against Biotop for just pointing out basic strategy.”

I don’t mind dying for town, but at least grow some balls about it. There’s not a single extant case except mine, and the people voting for me won’t even do me the courtesy of commenting on the damned thing. The rest of the votes are for vague feelings and one-offs. At least I’ve built a train of reasoning.

I believe that Biotop didn’t particularly care whether you or Prof. P got lynched yesterday. The only reason why he wouldn’t have cared is if you’re both town. Under my working theory, if Bio is scum then you are strongly leaning town. I never said confirmed.

This is interesting and bears consideration.

**Johnny Bravo **, for what it’s worth I think you are misguided Town playing against the me from the last game. I realize this statement will not win me any points with you, but that’s my read on your case against me.

I also don’t advocate lynching you because you have been playing the game and active players have been, shall we say, a rarity in this game.
I will try and post some thoughts on the rest of the players in the morning before work.

Ummm…huh? You vote for me because I seem LEAST likely to be scum? This seems like a very very poor town move. Or is this some crazy advanced play of which I’m unaware? As town, we need to be voting for the MOST likely scum. Right? Or are you purposefully trying to be confusing, as scum do? :dubious: You’ve tentatively made my FoS list.

Guys/girls/fellow Simpletons, a thought occurs to me. If we get this wrong toDay, and there are 3 wolves/mafia/scumbos, then toMorrow we are at 3 vs 3. If I read the setup correctly, we keep going until we eliminate ALL “threats”, yes? Correct me if I’m wrong.

So in a 3v3 situation, scum are going to be able to control the vote pretty easily, right? Unless of course there are some power roles somewhere to change things. So we NEED to get this right toDay.

Just food for thought.

My guess would be that of the 3 people listed (you me septimus) you are the only one getting any votes, so in their eyes getting you lynched is better than someone not on the list.
Well after the same double take , that’s what I think they were thinking

Ok, I think I think that might make SOME sense? But I’m still not sure. I still don’t like it though.

This is correct. Sorry for any confusion.

Johnny, you keep asking people to respond to your case against Biotop. I’ve indicated that your meta-argument in #99 seems, at best, a null tell. That leaves the case consisting strictly of one post, based on reading Biotop’s scum musings from another game:

Setting aside the gamesmanship this is a real argument. The way you cling to it makes your concern seem sincere; too bad you “poisoned the well” with the earlier #99. Combined with Biotop’s super-helpfulness, it does make him a top candidate. Most likely, either Johnny or Biotop is Scum. If I had to guess now, I might move my vote to Biotop, but I’m not sure. Fortunately I don’t have to guess.

Who is their Scum partner? Several players have sent out strong Town vibes. Yet there is one very experienced player who has steadfastly refused to weigh in on the Biotop-Johnny controversy, and pursued only very weak cases. She’s one of the Scum partners.

Unvote Johnny Bravo

Vote TexCat

Let’s take out the easy Scum toDay; make the Biotop-Johnny decision toMorrow.

Except for posts 176 and 181. At this point I don’t know whether you’re being lazy or disingenuous. Your unvote is as weak as your vote.

Not by a long shot, but this is an easy claim to throw away if you know I’m town.

This is a problematic because if I get lynched toDay and flip town the implications are a lot more dire than “oh, snfaulkner was stupid.”

Heavy thoughts from somebody whose own vote boils down to “yeah, what he said.”

Lazy. Rereading I do see #181 is strong. You’ve almost got me convinced.

But for now I’ll leave my vote on TexCat who is also Scum.
