Just so you know, Biotop’s said that in the last three games he’s been in.
So just waiting to see which way the wind blows ?
Waiting to see who screws up first under pressure, is more like it.
I’ve found that I’m wrong more often than not, except last game when I was right to vote for you, but then I was wrong to unvote you. So in conclusion, I’m an idiot. And my vote stays for now.
I personally will more than likely only have 6 more hours to move my vote. But there as of yet has been no reason to do so.
Because if I’m affable and charming and convincing, that’s just more reason to think I’m Scum.
But if I was surly and paranoid and questionable, that’s just more reason to think I’m Scum.
Can’t win that one.
Do we have any clue how many wolfs/mafias/scumballs there might be in a 10 player game? 3?
2 or 3. It’d depend on how powerful the power roles are and whose side they’re on, of course. Dante’s game last fall had 3.
No, I didn’t.
No, but I’d guess…3. Just a guess, though. It is a small game.
In my other game, you vote for me, I vote for you kind of thing happened EVERY round. Plus since I’m the newb HERE, I find it suspicious when someone votes for the newb, having seen it done to other people in my other forum. I don’t ALWAYS vote for people who vote for me, but it felt right.
Yup. Still getting a feel for things, playing my “old” style. If I survive, I’ll adjust. Also, I’m a she but I don’t care if y’all call me a he. Just don’t vote for me.
It’s easy for me because it gave me something to go on. I don’t know any of you very well, so at this point it’s a wall of strangers. I’m used to forums with more thematic names and avatars, which helps to keep people straight. It’s also much, much smaller so it’s easier to distinguish people. I don’t want to have to pick someone randomly quite yet, which is what I did before until I got the hang of things. I’m trying to adjust my play by going with someone who thinks I’m worthy of suspicion.
I find the first round is the hardest because everyone acts suspicious and no one’s used night powers, no hard data and evidence.

Ok, this is where we are now (unless I messed something up?). In less than 3 hours, the game will no longer have my full attention until tomorrow after EoD (although I may check in briefly once or twice before bed). If anyone has anything brilliant to add, the clock is ticking.
I also will not be around at End of Day except during the half hour I get for lunch… which could be before or after 4PM. I will try to check in from my phone when I can.

Really a bit of a self preservation vote , I know I am town , not at all sure about the prof or rarity but the prof it will be.
Getting on a flight now to the US so will be out until tonight
Good luck town
Come, come, no longer will I be a fool,
To put the finger in the eye and weep,
Whilst man and master laughs my woes to scorn.
Unvote Prof. Pepperwinkle
The croaking raven doth bellow for revenge.
Which is itself a terrible defense, because “I always do a certain specific thing” just creates a convenient smokescreen for the times when you’re actually scum and it becomes the right ploy. The fact that Biotop chose to completely ignore my vote on him speaks volumes.
Volumes, I say!
Your vote was absurd. I got home near midnight last night from bridge and it didn’t seem necessary to rebut it. Of course you know that I mean that Scum lie by pretending to be Town, so even if they tell a “truth” it is a lie because the motivation is a lie. And I think hunting for motivation is harder, but more accurate, then looking for outright lies. I find outright obvious lies to be sparse in this game.
I believe in the first game we played you (as Scum) made a remark something about how vanilla Town’s role was to die at night instead of a power role. I saw merit in that remark and have remembered it (accurately, I hope, because I have to get to work and don’t have time to research it). But it was also a stinking lie because you were pretending to be a helpful Townie instead of Scum.
But you knew I meant that. So what is your motivation?
Nope, it was the truth, and that’s why it was a good scum play. Good scum avoid lying whenever possible. That’s why your adage is wrong.
And I believe a true statement whose motivation is actually to deceive is really a lie. So I guess we’ll have to disagree on that.
Soft Deadline in about 6 hours.
