I was just excited by the mention of Tulip Time, Holland, MI. Yeah for my hometown! That alone made this episode one of the greats for me.
Nitpick: That would be Cyprus, not cypress.

A great episode! Probably the best of the season. It funny, tightly written, and the randomness still managed to (basically) flow well within the plot, and everyone seemed in character. I laughed, I cried, it became a part of me.
Best couch gag in a really long time, too.

I don’t know why, but that made me laugh the most.
I thought it was a pretty mediocre episode, but my favorite line was, “I could have married Sidwshow Mel!”
I don’t know why either, but I must have laughed out loud for 2 minutes over this one. I’m laughing just reading about it. And I’m not one to laugh out loud.
I think she actually said “You shouted it out when we were making love!” which is much funnier, IMO.
Okay, I might have missed this, and I definitely didn’t catch it on tape. (Was a little late cueing up my VCR, so I wasn’t all set to record until the first commercials were running.)

Couch gag: Homer pulls off a scalp wig and Sideshow Bob’s hair pops out. He grabs a knife and starts chasing Bart.
I thought it was a terribly lame episode, and further evidence of the show’s descent into pastiche.
We’ve seen “Homer buys a vehicle against Marge’s wishes” before (the Canyonero). We’ve even seen an RV purchased from Bob’s RV Roundup before.
The “Marge gets so mad at Homer’s selfishness their marriage almost fails” has been done more times than I can count, and I’m getting really freaking tired of it.
