Six Degrees of Mumpers – a connectivity MMP

It is? You’re sure it’s still available…?
That means y’all will have to wait patiently until Monday for fuller details about the trip, however :stuck_out_tongue:

And I’ll let you know that flattery will get you nowhere!
Batting your eyelashes, however… That just could be a good start

**Cutie **-- there was nothing casual about your being ignored :stuck_out_tongue:
OK, I wasn’t really ignoring you… or anybody else. Hugs and kisses to everybody. yes, even you, Swampy, I know you want one! (that will be a pretty modest hug and a peck on the cheek, though. We’re still playing for different teams, y’know! :D)

**MamaTigs **-- I hope you get well soon! But… three weeks? And you’re sure it’s a virus and there’s no point to seeing a Dr.!? Maybe you should get yourself checked up just on general principle!

No, no it’s not. Some guy named Lunch just signed up.
::continues with the eyelash batting::

Up, caffeinated and off to work again.

Get better soon, Mama and Papa Tigs!

Hi follks. Bad night. I’ve been worrying about money a lot. I’m really pissed off/worried about this whole situation. It doesn’t help that the university is telling me two different dates for when I have to have tuition paid without late fees. To avoid problems I’m paying tomorrow. If the gods and my Magic 8 Ball smile upon me I’ll get a refund. If not, I’ll still get finished.

My worry is your gain. Gain! There’s a letter from Jawjuh in there, swampy.

sends get wells to Ma & Pa Tigs

bats eyes at Lunch

goes outside to tell dogs to quit barking

Mornin’ and afternoon all (depending on your time zone).

It’s so nice to have everyone back- Echad, Pie, Donkybear etc. Yay!

:bats eyes: (what? everyone is doing it!)

Off to work soon, teh semester is creeping upon us and I must get ready!!!

Good morning! :: bats eyelashes furiously:: What?

Welcome home, Noone! Can’t wait to hear about your trip.

Nothing much going on here. We need a new cellphone for my dad, and he’s eligible for an upgrade, so that’s good. His phone is very old, and it seems the microphone isn’t working - no one can hear him. We almost got one ordered online last night, but something happened and it crapped out for some reason. Hubby got irritated and went to the phone store in person - but it’s only an online deal. Grr. So we (read: he) will try online again tonight.

I have a new recipe in the crockpot today - Beef Barley Mushroom soup. I’ll let y’all know how it turns out.

Off to earn my paycheck…

I am picturing this scanario (and yes, I realize I’ve mixed the facts but it was funnier in my head):

“Hi! I brought you a gift!”

“Awesome. Can I jerk off with it?”

“But it’s a wicker pig.”

“I see that. I’ll ask again, can I jerk off with it?”

“I think it would be, uh, pokey. But I guess you could, you know, stick stuff in it.”

“Cool. You should make one with aloe. *Lots * of aloe.”
I think “can I jerk off with it?” should always be the response to receiving a gift.

“Here, I bought you a tube made of barbed wire” . . .

This one of the funniest things I’ve read in a long time. Well done, JelliBean, well done.

Here’s a set of ginsu knives!

I meant to say yesterday… I like the bee pictures and I like bees. They’re fun to watch buzzing around flowers.

Hornets and wasps, not so much. But bees are cool.

I don’t feel like being at work again today. I think I’m going to have to make a dr appt to find out why I’m soooooooo tired. Bleh.

Mornin’.

I’m doing some warm-up exercises for my trout-whackin’ arm, because three people on the team failed to grasp the concept of “end of day today” on an email I sent yesterday.

I guess they think that because I’m not a manager, there won’t be consequences for their slacking… 'cept what they don’t know is that the manager is the one who asked for the data, and the manager is the one who will get a lovely summary of who responded on time and who failed the test. I’ll probably go to hell for it, but I’m getting an unholy amount of smug satisfaction out of that thought right now.

Shelli, I’m totally using that line next time someone shows up with a gift.

Welcome back, Lunch! Looking forward to the full story on the next MMP. Now get flirtin’, mister, because you’ve got two weeks worth to catch up on!

{{Spaz}} Sorry about the money woes. Hope it gets sorted out sooner rather than later.

You guys are sick. As in sick in the head. I like that. Not to mention all the flirting. There’s sure a lot of eyelash batting around here this morning!

I’m here this morning, and won’t bat eyelashes just in case it wafts this nasty bug anyone’s direction. Alas, Noone, Papa Tigs and I have both seen the doctor, and other than the sinus/chest infections that were cleared up with antibiotics (we both needed 'em), we are assured that it’s just a virus and we just have to wait till it goes away. At least this morning <knock wood> I don’t have a headache. This is progress of a kind. Unfortunately, it means I have fewer excuses not to work hard. Which is depressing. But necessary. :frowning: At least there’s badminton on one of the lesser Olympics channels, which is an improvement over beach volleyball.

Everybody have a good day, or as good as you can with all the preparations for school taking place. I’m sure glad I don’t have to do that these days, for myself or any junior members of the family!

Mawnin’

mamatigs, that bug sounds suspiciously like FLU to me. Or maybe you’ve got secondary infections going on (bronchitis?).

li-li, I hope it didn’t sound like I didn’t think QD was a good person. In fact you’ve always represented her as being swell. The problem is that her quirks are causing problems. It wouldn’t be that tough to button her lip and keep hands off if she wants the friendship between you folks to continue and mature. If she has difficulty doing that then it’s time for lots of practice.

Those eye-shadow thingies need splainin’ as in a demonstration video.

Much to do today so toodles.

Oh, and YAY! Noonie’s back.

Tupug

Thanks, swampy! I signed up for the club and one of those other places (Hometown Buffet) is one of my grandparents’ favorites. So I’ll give the coupon to them.

We’ve had a crazy/insane morning. Three lunches and prep for one dinner and most of it had to be finished by 10 a.m.

The dinner is the Ronald McDonald House dinner that we’re starting. It’s for 40 people every 3 or 4 months. Unfortunately I picked a bad day because I also have to go see my psychiatrist this afternoon. I could reschedule the psych appointment but I really, really don’t want to go and am hoping to just get it over with quickly. It’s just a routine followup and I don’t think it’s necessary. I mean, if I were having big problems that I thought that she could help with, I would have called her. But, alas, she’s the one that writes my prescriptions and my refills are almost up.

I recommend opthamologist appts for all–there is definitely something getting into all these eyes around here.

So, according to that nbc site (and could it be any worse in layout?), the all around for women’s gymnastics is from 10-midnight tonight. And yes, there is MORE beach volleyball tonight AND tomorrow. Me, I’d have punctured their ball by now. Enough with the beach volleyball!

Work email is back up, but since the system is processing the backlog of messages from yesterday, it’s sloooow. Perhaps we’ll move to more modern email system some day. We can only hope.

I’ve decided on my next project, the Braided Pullover. I’m using Cascade Lana d’Oro in Regal (purple). It’s going to be yummy! I also found some brushed Suri alpaca that looks like it could substitute for mohair in some patterns. Since I’m allergic to mohair, but love the way it knits up, that’s really good news.

Dangit! I had a nice long post all typed up and things went to crap.

Highlights of the post were:

We bought a home theater system last night. I don’t think we need it, but hubby wants it. Whatevah…

I couldn’t sleep for shit last night because it’s too friggin’ hot. It’s supposed to be warmer today.

Lunch, how you doing?

That’s about all I can remember. I need to wake up more first.

Hugs and smooches to y’all!

Hi all! Remember me???

Well, 2 weeks into the new job and I’m loving it - interesting work, but not too much of it, and I haven’t been at work after 4:30pm once! NICE!!!

Kalhoun, I love your flower pics - gorgeous flowers in both gardens, although I prefer the cooler tones from your garden, if truth be told!

{{{MamaT}}} I hope Teh Sick[sup]TM[/sup] leaves you alone soon! :frowning:

Hubby has some cousins visiting from Kuwait this weekend, so he has gone out for a few drinks with them. MIL is in Lebanon with both my sisters-in-law, so all is quiet for once. HRH went to sleep without a fuss, after scoffing two chicken fingers, half an orange and half a banana for dinner, all washed down with a bottle of milk before bedtime! I am alone in the house (except for the sleeping toddler) and I may just lay on the sofa and be a slug for a while! Yeah … later guys and gals!

Hmmm, are you just selling at the farmers markets in the Seattle area proper, or do any of your products migrate slightly south of you? If so, I’d like to keep my eyes open for your product.

I’m a gal who doesn’t like overly perfumey or flowery scents. I like nice, “clean” scents. I like green tea scents and some citrus scents. I once had a lemon/sagegrass lotion that was divine.

Hee spaz! Caramel Hill. Funnee! I’m sorry you’re havin’ troubles and all but dangit, I’m glad it got us some snark.

Just so ya know, we bears never do anyting modestly. :stuck_out_tongue: Oh and FLUTTER!FLUTTER!FLUTTER! What? Everybody else was doin’ it!

Hi honey’s I’m home! I brought a buncha stuff home to work on because I can actually get it like done at da cave without continuous interruption. Since I am ever so productive when I do this, TPTB have no problem with it. YAY! So, this afternoon and tomorrow I’m a work at home bear.

Ok, to the work pile!

Later Y’all!
