I thought this was the perfect season finale for this excellent season. This year the show wasn’t wild and crazy like last year – it was just about people living their lives, their sad, lonely, typically hopeless lives. And in this episode, life went on. There were some endings, there were some beginnings. The only really outrageous thing that happened this season was Lisa’s disappearance, and it was handled in a much more reaslistic way than anything which happened last year. This episode provided the logical – and understated – conclusion to that story, while letting the rest of the characters move on as they have all season, like real people.
