I caught his? post in ATMB about having a ‘dueling’ board, which I thought was a hysterical idea, and perhaps sparked by worries of incipient bannage, but it hasn’t happened yet.
Not that it bothers me much - Other than here and in that ATMB post, I haven’t seen (or if I have seen, have not noticed) him? around to care one way or the other.

I don’t really think the OP is a good representative of our Aussie counterparts on the SDMB. I don’t think he could be if he tried.
Skald’s post was totally ‘meh’ and was kinda funny, and not sure I’d really call it much of a threadshit. It pointed out a couple things, and also perpetuated a couple other things, all about a fictional TV show that no one gives a crap about anyway. I thought it was funny that he managed to push the OP’s buttons with a fairly lazy effort.
The thing about banning is that, once it happens, you have no reason not to use one of various methods to hide your identity and come back and troll the fuck out of the board. The worst thing that can happen is that you’ll be kicked out again.
And what Skald did was definitely a threadshit, and a rather pointed one. Skald doesn’t normally act that way at all, so it’s quite clear that his purpose was to attack the guy. This is a guy who is usually rather playful with his fiction, and often seems to go out of his way not to offend unless he’s been attacked first.
Maybe from someone else it might have been nothing, but not from a guy who is normally rather docile, to the point that I could never figure out why anyone ever had a problem with him. If he’s acted like this before, then I get it entirely.

I decided to give this shit sandwich a whirl and I gotta say, for a shit sandwich, it’s not bad. You gotta make sure to use a smoky BBQ sauce though, not honey, to cut through the gaminess of the feces. And I used a seedless rye, but now I’m wishing I’d gone with a onion roll.

I didn’t read that whole thread when I first saw it - it just stalled out for me. But after reading Skaldy’s post, I wholeheartedly agree with him, and I might have posted something really similar, could I have been bothered to reply to Dennis Arthur PERRET’s prattling drivel. Skald’s post was funnier than the OP’s, was correct on all counts are regards DoH canon (that’s Dukes of Hazzard for all you nose-breathers out there), and correctly assessed the OP’s post as “arrant (sic) nonsense”.
OP seems to me one of those folks who thinks they’re hi-freaking-larious, but in reality just really doesn’t have a grasp on what is broadly funny. But when countered, he gets his panties in a twist and replies with yet more askew, painfully non-humorous ramblings, such as this thread right here.
Maybe some bizarre manifestation of the Coriolis effect down under sucked all the funny out of Dennis Arthur PERRET’s brain, and possibly made his CAPS lock key stick when he was typing his username.
