So, am I the only one who read Skald’s post as participatory, and not thread-shitting? He’s joking about Daisy being a switch-hitting, cousin-fucking town ho. How’s that substantially different, in tone or substance, than the rest of the thread in which it was posted?
I’d say we could ask him, but I assume he’s in a fetal position in the shower after learning of the OP’s rejection.
As far as I can tell, the rest of the thread was short versions of artistic works.
Skald didn’t come in and offer an alternative short version of the Dukes of Hazzard. He came in and nitpicked the OP, and then offered that the OP’s version was arrant nonsense. I don’t see how that can be viewed as anything but thread-shitting.
But it was done with pizazz.
Yeah, it’s not even close to threadshitting and I’m of the opinion that those who have espoused such a viewpoint need to swap out their smelling salts for something a little less wussified.
I note, somewhat with interest, that the OP has not bothered to include butter on his sandwich. 
I’d opine that it was threadshitting. But it was also funny. But it was both minor threadshitting and minorly funny.
