Should the Australian Government build a lighthouse, similar to Skerryvore or Bells Rock on Falcon Island??? The mind boggles.
oh&s, welcome to the Straight Dope Message Boards, I think. But, judging from your last three posts, I think you have some misconceptions as to what we’re about.
While we do have a few Australian members, the majority of members are in the U.S., with a fine spattering through Europe, the Middle East, Asia, and a couple in Latin American. Thus, the majority of members will have no idea what the heck you are talking about when you raise some local political issue that has had no international press.
Second, this particular forum is meant for comments on Cecil’s Columns. If you’re not sure what “Cecil’s Columns” means, please read our FAQ… and try some of the columns at our Archives. That will give you a better idea of what we’re all about.
Since this seems to be a matter of local politics, of no interest to anyone outside whatever your local area is, I’m closing this thread.
I’m also officially advising you that your conduct so far is not appropriate. These are moderated boards, and we do not appreciate misbehavior – whether intentional or inadvertent – by someone who doesn’t understand what our Boards are all about.
