I slept clothed up until maybe two years ago. Back then, I just couldn’t fall asleep when I was naked. Either it would be too cold or just weird. Then I read a thread similar to this and decided to give it a serious try. After a week or so, I was able to sleep comfortably in the nude. Since it was summer time, I kept sleeping that way. Once winter rolled around, I tried sleeping with some clothes on but they kept riding up or sliding down. I just couldn’t deal with it and have no idea how I was ever able to sleep with clothes on.
Starkers, usually without blanket.
This is my answer (though I don’t have a missus). When my son goes to spend a good chunk of the summer at his father’s house I have a list of things I look forward to; watching R rated movies before his bedtime, cooking foods he hates, and sleeping au naturale.
Is it that big of a deal for your kids to see you naked?
Just asking out of natural curiosity. I don’t really want to start some sort of argument.

Why? No judgement - I hate sleeping in clothing. I’m just wondering why someone would go out of their way to mess with their own comfort zone for something like this, so I’m genuinely curious what your motive was. Call it academic curiosity about how other people’s brains work. But it made me wonder.
Married, both sleep naked
Sleep in pajama pants, almost always. My legs are hairy enough that its too itchy to have them rub together. Depending on temperature, I either wear a t-shirt or nothing on top.
Never.
I tried it once, but that was the night that my moronic then-housemate got punched in the face and had half a can of beer poured down her shirt by the worst mugger ever, resulting in me running naked, clutching a library book, into full view of our perverted middle-aged neighbor. That somewhat turned me off to an idea I was already lukewarm on, and now I live in a bedroom that has windows, so it’s not necessary due to heat.
(It’s, uh, an uncomfortable moment when that first flash of adrenaline that your housemate’s screams cued wears of, and you suddenly realize that your glasses are not the only thing you left in your bedroom.)
I sleep nude but my Earthquake Bathrobe is always hanging on the corner of the bed head for just such an eventuality. All the big earthquakes that have happened here in the past fifteen years - I’ve been naked when they happened!
In our household, it’s not that big of a deal. We try to teach “acceptable nudity” vs. “unacceptable nudity”.
Because being uncomfortable naked in my own room seemed irrational and I wanted to try and fix it, just like I would try and fix my arachnophobia if I was afraid of spiders.
But also, the last two summers were really hot here in California and we don’t run the air conditioning at night. Even in that heat though, I can’t sleep without a blanket on.
I wish the thread were so titled.
Depends. I usually just go to sleep the way I am at the moment. Usually at home I’m in a tee and underwear, so when it’s bed time, I just brush my teeth and knock out in what I’m wearing. Sometimes I’m just out of the shower and haven’t bothered to put anything on, so I go to bed nude. At times it’s cold, so I’ll put something on, and at others it’s hot, so I’ll remove the clothes that I’m wearing.
I picked “sometimes.”
Naked. I live alone and am naked a lot. I love being free and in the nip(in private, I wouldn’t do the nudist thing).
In my Jockey shorts. Keeps the pecker tracks off the sheets. (I’m old!)
I wear boxers to bed for the same reason I wear them during the day: to protect my pants/sheets from my ass.
Voted “yes,” though technically I’m a “usually,” but that wasn’t an option and “sometimes” sounds less often than usually to me.
If you wear underwear, you’re not nude, just topless.
When I’m home, almost always. The exceptions would be if it’s extremely cold (not likely where we live), if I’m sick and feel a need to ‘bundle up’, or sometimes if we have overnight guests (in case I need to get up in a hurry for some reason and don’t want to scare people).
If I’m at someone else’s house I usually leave my boxers on. If we’re in a hotel, it depends; if we’re traveling with our son I’ll leave something on just so he doesn’t have to look at me.
Yeah, at a friend’s house I’ll sleep with a shirt and my pants on. Pretty much just take off my shoes and socks.
A passing glance of a naked person walking by wouldn’t be a big deal. If I forgot to bring the new bottle of conditioner into the bathroom and I’m already undressed I wouldn’t get dressed to go get it. But we don’t interact with one another directly when one of us is naked.
If something occurs during our usual sleeping hours that requires me to get up and go to him it’s usually a situation where I wouldn’t be confortable just standing around his room naked, or going to get him a glass of water naked.
