I slept nude all the time until we had daughters who may climb into bed with us in the middle of the night, sometimes without waking us up. If fresh sheets were just put on the bed I might go ahead and sleep nude with boxers close at hand.
A side benefit of not sleeping naked so much anymore is dreams. I don’t have “naked” dreams so much as “what I wore to bed tonight dreams”. These days, on the nights when I might have dreamed about being at naked at work, I am more likely to be at work in my boxers which is not quite as embarrassing.
I voted yes. As mentioned by others, it’s the bunching up of clothing that bothers me - I’ll take my chances with the pinheads (no issues so far in almost thirty years!)
Even when I get home from work, the very first thing
I do is strip and change into very loose fitting clothing like sweats and a t-shirt with the arms and neck cut (I also have a few “beaters”, those tank-top type thingies.) I just feel very uncomfortable in confining clothing. No doubt the DSM-IV has a page or two defining this “condition”.
FWIW, I live in rural far northern VT, so temp has nothing to do with it - summer, winter - don’t matter. Our family is fortunate to be well shielded from neighbors and the road, so I have no concerns about accidental exposure and such. Nice.
probably partly due to being overweight, but I am never really that comfortable in clothes. i also come home and usually first thing is strip to the skivvies, although admittedly since my oldest kid is now 6 i try to put on “lounging” pants or something, but man, i prefer undies or nekkid.
still i convinced the wife long ago to sleep naked and most of the time she does which i much prefer, and i’m usually naked or undies, depending on how i feel that night, probably about 50-50 (I replied ‘sometimes’).
our kids (6 & 3) seem to not care if we’re naked, and it’s hard to kick them out of the bedroom so that we can take showers and get dressed. i’m not sure at what age you’re really supposed to imprint on them the whole “privacy” thing but i’m trying not to make TOO much a big deal about it, since obviously to them it’s no big deal (nor to me really but my wife is a little squicked about it)
I usually sleep in just my boxers, but occasionally, when the mood takes me, or it’s too damn hot, I’ll sleep in the nude. I think because I usually have something on in that area, I can sleep alright in shorts, but I can’t seem to get to sleep wearing a shirt.
This has become the Zombie Nude thread…I started this back on July 19th and I believe I had the poll going for 30 days (which is long for a poll) so it ended quite awhile back.
Interesting to see comments still being posted though, even though the poll itself has long since been closed.
