Sleeping in, a sunriseless MMP

Howdy Y’all! Today I accomplished laundry, some ahrnin’, and makin’ sup which has been consumed. Also watched various things on Netflix whilst ahrnin’. Been watchin’ a lot of documentaries as of late. Most of ‘em are under an hour long and don’t require real close attention so good ahrnin’ watchin’ stuff. It has rained off and on all day but appears to be over now.

{{{CupCakes and Sis}}} hope she can get back home in a way that does not cause too much pain.

{{{Cupcakes and Sister}}} I hope she finds a way home and gets better (relatively) soon!

Snow totals as of 4:15pm - 7" and another 3-ish expected before it’s all done. I’m about to leave and clean off the car… and drive very slowly home. But it’s so damn beautiful out there.

Even 56 year old kids like that one.

Good news on the bro metal mouse.

Johnny, I always considered the dinner/supper divide to be one of city versus country.

Welcome back butters!

{{{baker and Sis}}} When my mom had a massive stroke a couple hundred miles from home, she was transported by ambulance after a couple of weeks in the hospital and rehab. As far as your sister is from home, she may be in Colorado for a couple of weeks before being able to consider going home.

It’s a rainy day today, tomorrow, winter should be returning for a day and then, more rain, more winter, etc. We’ve had relitively little snow so far this year (knock wood) and I’m fine with that.

{{{Cupcakes and sister}}}. Hope the operation and recovery goes well. Depending where in Colorado she is and where she live in Kansas, there is an AMTRAK train through Kansas, but she’d have to get to the Southeast part of Colorado, so I don’t think that’s an option. Might have to look into hiring a car/driver, but that will cost $$$ (maybe the hospital has some suggestions, she can’t be the only person to bust themselves up skiing there).

Sari, glad to hear that son-unit is actually interacting with people. As far as I know, hawks have not dropped any unwanted pieces of animal on my property (of course it helps that there is a big patch of wooded area only 50 feet away).

FCM, I’ve noticed that about young ones and grocery stores; I thinks its all the sounds and colors and different shapes and so much to see…and yeah, everytime I’m in line to check out, I can see the kids ahead of me make the move for the candy.

Watched some soccer this afternoon and avoided nappage. Made a list for eating and doing things by day for the rest of the week; I need to list things to do, and then I do them; if I don’t have a list I ignore them (until the last minute-just like Sah-son)

Off to do some internettin’ and then head off to bed.

We had fresh yellowtail snapper three nights last week and today we got another mess so snapper was supper tonight. Plus my lunch for tomorrow and again tomorrow night. Hubby has a rich friend that lurves to fish but does not eat fish. More for us. I love free food.

Busy busy day today. Lots of government shopping, feast or famine on using my government credit card.

I took **HRH Lucky Louie ** back to the Vet for a follow up on his ear infection. It’s much better but not completely well so Doc cleaned it out good, dosed it with a different antibiotic with instructions for me to continue the meds (drops) for 3-5 days. I am hopeful we shall cure it.

Tahred. Been running since early. Maid comes tomorrow so I shall arise earlier to do my spiffing before I go to irk. It’s just stripping the bed and starting the sheets. I did the kitchen tonight so that fishy mess is cleanded up.
Hugs to Cupcakes and sis
Night all.

In the You Kay meal names are a complicated geographical/class marker system; breakfast is simple enough, we’re all too sleepy to complicate that, but the midday meal could be lunch or dinner, you could even have school dinners in lunch break, though dinner is more common up North especially for poorer folks.

The evening meal could be dinner, tea or supper, with tea commoner up North and supper pretty well restricted to the posh to refer to an informal evening meal (they’d always go out for dinner). For the rest of the country, however, ‘supper’ means a snack just before bedtime.

So, lunch is always a middayish meal but dinner could be a midday or evening meal, tea could be a drink or an evening meal and supper could be a family evening meal or a late night bowl of cereal in front of the TV. Not confusing at all, and I use all of them except supper for the evening meal as the mood takes me.

Thanks for the good wishes for my sister. Her operation was last night at 7:00 PM MST. My BIL said there are, not surprisingly, a number of good orthopedic surgeons in ski country. She may be discharged very soon, but as for travel they do not know yet.

A snack before bed is just a snack. Interesting Nut that a bedtime snack can be called supper. My dear departed MIL called lunch dinner.

Up way too early or rather awake too early. Shall I arise and do my chores or go back to sleep? Stay tuned…Happy HumpDay!

Oh, I just realized that Moanday is a holiday so three day weekend for me!!!11!!!

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 46 Amurrkin out and dark (TWPTB say clear) with a predicted high of 64 and mostly N.O.S. for the day. Highs over the next ten days will be 60s-70s. So I guess we are havin’ pre-Spring. The pine trees continue to get more and more randy as well. Today is lay in provisions day so I shall go to the Pubic Sto’. Also I must go over to the church house to get the biiiiiiiiiiiig trash cans down to the road for pickup tomorrow. I think it may just be one can this week. Also a couple other things I need to take care of whilst there. Sup shall be bbq, fries, and baked beans leftover from yestiddy.

CupCakes I gather the surgery went well, so yay for that. Hope transportation is figured out soonest so she and BIL can get back home.

Now I need more caffeine and to feed rumbly tummy. And then, such bother, I must purtify and don appropriate goin’ about the public attire.

Happy Hump Day Y’all!

Today, I shall more or less function in zombie mode. Roxy woke the household a bit after midnight, and I’ve been up ever since. I couldn’t turn my brain off. So we’ll see how the caffeine works.

At least the rain has stopped, and we’re promised sun today. So Happy Wednesday anyway!

Wondering what amazaments are to come from Mediacom “customer support” over the next ten days! Twelve hours ago my TV screen showed “DOCSIS DOWNLOAD/WAITING FOR SNMP TRIGGER”. I finally got through the “large call volume” block about a half hour ago and spoke with what I assume was a human, who wanted to guide me through the “Cycle power. Press <ENTER> on the remote until you get to the ‘V 1_65 Pace PX001BTM SysCode Loader’ screen, activate a service that was mysteriously deactivated, choose ‘Software Download’ and wait for it” to lock up again. It only took about 5-6 minutes to tell him I’d already done all of that seven times.

So now, on Saturday, February 13, some tech is going to call with 15 minutes notice prior to arriving at my house (sometime between 0800 and 1800), and then “fix the problem”.

Thanks to my over-the-air HD antennas and Roku+Hulu that I can still get mindless drivel to ignore while taking naps!

Also thanks to my nearby indoor shooting range for the cathartic self-healing and introspection opportunities it affords. I suspect at least 1500 rounds will be placed on target over the next ten days.

Hmmmm, the next time Feb 13 falls on Saturday is in 2021 - that seems an unreasonably long time to wait…

Happy Hump Day!

It’s a N.O.S. 36 degrees outside.
Although I just saw a few snowflakes go by.

Kept Ripple home from daycare because it’s a mess out back and I don’t feel like dealing with it.

The weather is being crazy, supposed to get up to 57 on Firday and then snow again all weekend.
I think we’ll go get groceries on Firday.

Wednesday is bill paying day, so that is what I’ll be doing when I get off irk this morning.
I have a load of laundry in the washer, and will probaably do another load this morning.

Hope everything works out for your sister, Baker.

Nuts, you made my head hurt.

Up, caffeinated, and sheveled. Doing training at a different store today.

{{{{Cupcakes and Sis}}}}

I’m trying again to learn Chinese. There aren’t any schools around here since I live in a small city, but I found an online thing. We’ll see if it works.

Tell her to click her heels three times & repeat, “There’s no place like home.” then give her to me. She won’t need to sit up…typically our passengers stand.

Seriously, the best way to go, provided she has good insurance, is an air ambulance; faster & smoother than a ground one.
There might (though I doubt it due to the nature of the injury & her current lack of mobility) be a chance of a free, private flight. Look into Angel Flights, either Central (KS) or West (CO).

You better be careful; otherwise tomorrow I’ll be wishing you a Happy VD.
Had this for brekkie. It’s the size of Rice Krispys, the flat shape of Corn Flakes, & the colors & flavors of Froot Loops. Iffn it had some bran it it would be like they knocked off all of Kellogg’s brands in one box.
…& a bit of advice: One should wear appropriate soled shoes when removing the frozen precipitation from the driveway. It twasn’t all that much, but it was frozen; didn’t bother to put on one of the multiple pair of boots in the closet. Penny loafer soles just don’t have the necessary grip; I was slippin’ & slidin’ repeatedly; mainly when I was almost done, IOW, when it would have taken me longer to go inside & change than to just deal with it. :smack:

TB, good luck with learning Chinese. I have quite enough problems speaking English much less a second language, but admire those who can converse in multiple tongues.

George, I’m 45 minutes south of you and it seems like Wednesday the 13th to me…:p;) More seriously, I’m also frustrated when I’ve tried something 4-5 times, call service, and they immediately want me to try it again. Hope they get it working.

Spidey, glad you didn’t take a spill on the driveway. Although ruble, doggio, and flytrap probably would have laid bets on it if they had known…

Very N.O.S. and bright outside, but only 39F, getting to the mid-50’s later. Should be warmer as the week goes on, but nothing like the 70’s we saw last week for a brief time.

Need to get registered for Spring soccer today (it’s on my list) and mail a couple of bills. Now need to toast a butter some raisin bread. Take care y’all.

IRK…that is all.

Fine. I’ll just talk to myself Swampy style. Tis raining all morning with a little lull and another big pile of rain in a little bit. We need the rain. I am having first lunch of ham and mac and cheese my clerk brought. This is the best ham I have ever had. I will need a nap.

I had ham for breakfast, it was pretty good.

Now I’m going to make toast and eggs for the dog and kid.
Then fix some lunch for me.
I don’t know what yet.

Then on to paying bills, and getting a grocery order together.

I have to do something with the table sitting in the middle of the kitchen too. I thought about putting it under the middle window in the living room, give the cat a place to sit out of Ripple’s reach, but my son says it’s too high.
I’ll measure it, but I think it may be too long.
