I’ve noticed that my list of smileys in the reply box now looks like this:

:smack::):confused:
:eek::mad::rolleyes:
:p;):cool:
:D:o:dubious:
:frowning:

Before it was
:):confused::eek:
:mad::rolleyes::cool:
:p;):smiley:
:o:dubious::frowning:
:smack:

I’d actually thought that maybe my completely rewritten Old Smileys script (now 100 times faster, again, thanks to using CSS to change them ahead of time), as I had forgot to turn it off. (I don’t really use it much myself.)

It wouldn’t make too much sense, due to how the script works, but I thought it made more sense than anything on related to smileys changing on the server. But I turned it off, and it’s still this way.
(The Smiley script should have automatically updated to version 3.0, but if it didn’t, here’s the URL. I don’t even have stats to let me know if anyone’s actually still using it, but I stumbled on a faster way and wanted to try it.)

Turn off the “recommended emoticons” feature, or just try making fewer mistakes.

It’s flipping back and forth for me now. It’s weird.
And, thanks VT, but I wasn’t talking about accidentally putting them in the post. I just meant the way the look in that box on the right when you post.

If I quote a post, smackie is first. If I hit “Go Advanced” down at the bottom, it’s last. There’s probably some hidden meaning to that.

ETA: never mind, it switches around on me too with no obvious consistency.

Sorry if it bugs anyone, but I’m using my one bump to see if anyone knows what could be causing this. It’s just so weird, and I’m curious.

Could be for many reasons. I’d suggest he consult a good doctor if he’s really worried about it.

I just went and did some science and opened ten different threads and smackie came first in all ten. Maybe the board got upgraded or patched* and that’s just how it is now.
