He was accusing “gun-fetishists” as he calls them (he means gun owners, I guess) of having problems in the “sack” , of having phallic broomsticks, etc., etc. Making the case that if you have a gun it’s just a compensation for having a less than adequate manhood/penis/sexual style, etc.
I don’t own guns, it wasn’t aimed at me, but I don’t think it was fair game to do it over and over and over and over in Great Debates where we’re debating his statement that “Guns are for Cowards.”
Yeah, I wanted to give him a taste of his own medicine. Cause, like the dude was snowing us! he demanded I come up with cites for a couple of statements I made on crime and guns. Stuff that’s made the go-round before on this website, nothing new, I spend two hours digging up the information and in less time than it takes to read the titles (6:17pm to 6:27pm, 10 minutes!), he dismisses the whole lot and even says my last cite was over 2 years old when it was from this April, 2004.
The guy is difficult, sure, kinda like me, I guess, but shit, at least I’m honest.
He’s beating his opinion drum in GD, saying it’s our fault, calling us names, deriding us, doing everything but debate. I thought it was justified.

Your cites were shit. They didn’t prove what you said they proved. You linked to some studies that tried to correlate guns to reduced crime but they didn’t actually show any proof of a causal relationship. Correlation does not equal cause. The studies are suggestive but they are not proof.
You failed utterly to support any claim of legislative attempts for total gun bans. You linked to a page about the assault weapons ban and a chicken little page about a comment one Senator made on 60 Minutes.
