Your mom’s a boomer!
ok boomer

Don’t get me started about the Greeks…
Do we need a snappy response? Has anyone actually heard that phrase in real life?
*like the time I caught the ferry over to Shelbyville. I needed a new heel for my shoe, so, I decided to go to Morganville, which is what they called Shelbyville in those days. So I tied an onion to my belt, which was the style at the time. Now, to take the ferry cost a nickel, and in those days, nickels had pictures of bumblebees on 'em. Give me five bees for a quarter, you’d say.
Now where were we? Oh yeah: the important thing was I had an onion on my belt, which was the style at the time. They didn’t have white onions because of the war. The only thing you could get was those big yellow ones…*
Is someone actually saying OK boomer to you? Or do you just want to be prepared?
“omg, lol”
The Onion’s “OK, GENERATION Z[sup]er[/sup]!” editorial cartoon.
Thank you for sharing?
Sometimes I say it to my wife when she goes on and on and on about her day. Now I understand why I get pitted.
The brief spat of self-congratulatory “Ok Boomer” memes on my feed have been overtaken by “Epstein Didn’t Kill Himself” memes. Which actually started earlier so that I guess that has more staying power.
Anyway, I’d just stick with the tried and true “Get a job, kid.”
You brought her, YOU boom her!
My response is “What’s “Boomer” Esiason got to do with this?” When the person tries to explain the reference to me, I keep acting ignorant of it.
I do wonder what he thinks of this phrase.
Oh, sweet summer child…
My wife teaches college, and her students have (jokingly) said it to her. Usu when she betrays her dotage by referring to some tech or media that is more than 2-3 years old.
My recommended response is, “Did you vote?”
If it’s being said seriously, like actually dismissive, I’m calling it out as ageism. If not, I’ll say “groovy man” or something.
“Cylons on your six, Starbuck!” then throw a mushie (marshmallow) at them.
My snappy response: What’s your service branch?
“Fuck off, kid.”
