Hugs Dot If’n I was close I’d come help you clean the place. It’s a great feeling to have a nice clean house. I was a slug-a-bed yesterday when our maid came so the master bedroom didn’t get done. I do know how to clean though so I can do it. I had a cleaning business for 5 years, three months and eight days so I dislike cleaning immensely. I was doing vacation rentals so no personal stuff to irk around. Made good money but was hard irk.
It’s another dreary overcast day here. Hubs has done his obligatory running errands today and is in and napping. I am about to cook and eat a frozen pizza or part of one. I suppose I shall go ahead and change the bed and then sloth. I can’t go to irk cause I’m contaminated from going to Miami. Tomorrow is payroll day and I can’t do it from home so I need to see if I can sneak in there real early to do it or just have the business director sign off for me. I shall email him. Knowing him he will tell me to go ahead and do it. If I go early enough there will be no one else in the building.

Another break. It’s really muggy out there and it’s kicking my butt. I’ve planted everything but the mock almond saplings and I’ve got the sprinkler running on the majority of the plantings. I still need to prep the area for my greenhouse and I have to run to CVS to get some meds for FCD. And I need a shower.
Daughter and SIL have gone for a drive to look at houses for sale and decide what they think of the neighborhoods. She wants me to go with her to talk to a realtor because I know what sorts of questions to ask.
**FCD **had a remote appointment with our GP and she prescribed a muscle relaxer for him to help him sleep - that’s one of the items I need to pick up.
Steaks are marinating. Sides will be Amish green beans, Amish zucchini and yellow squash, and maybe baked russets. Busy rest of the day ahead.
Howdy Y’all! I got word folks would start mowage over to the church house around ten this mornin’, so I went over then. I mowed the upper back forty for three hours and got about three quarters of it done. It’s a lot to mow! Anywho, someone showed up around one and I let him take over to finish it. I got back to da cave, showered, had a nosh and am in chill time 'til sup time.

I was thinking about sending my nephew a check for his 21st birthday. Mrs. L.A. told me to stop sending him money on his birthday when he turned 18, but my sister and her family are living on Social Security so I decided I’d send him money until he turned 21. I’ve been sending him $40; but since this is the last time, I’m sending $100.
So I was thinking about what I’d write in the card, that I’d have to write the check, remember to mail it, etc., when I thought ‘Holy smokes! :eek: I forgot to make a payment on my credit card! I don’t have enough to make a payment and send Nephew a check!’ I wrote the Birthday Check and went to transfer enough from my savings account to cover the credit card payment… And looking through my account, I saw that I actually did make a payment! So I actually have more money in my account than usual at this time of the month.
Hm… I wonder if I forgot to pay something? :dubious:
So far, not sure I’m impressed. It’s a bit tricky distinguishing where one post leaves off and another begins, and I don’t think subscribing to threads is possible, which is going to be inconvenient.
Did manage to solve problem 1, with a trip to the Preferences/Interface menu. Settled on Discourse-classic theme. I’m still trying to figure out an equivalent to the “subscribed threads” function we used to have. I do think the preview right next to the text-entry area is convenient.

Good thoughts needed for tomorrow’s meeting with new Dr. His bio is very impressive and he is a pioneer in developing this type of artery valve replacement. The procedures hubs needs are TAVR and TMVR. For aortic and mitral. I have never prayed so hard that he can get this done.
I know y’all are tired of hearing about it but this is my life now. For over six months I have been on this roller coaster and I want off. I promise it will soon be over one way or another.
