Seeing Guinastasia Pit Snowboarder Bo is a bit like watching a throwdown between Honey Boo Boo and Ralph Wiggum.

I thought the original autocorrect phrase story was hilarious, and it still makes me laugh every time Snowboarder Bo uses it, which seems to me to be very rare nowadays .
There’s a plugin for Chrome called ‘Word Replacer II’. I’m gonna download it and see if it’ll let me replace Bo’s boring catchphrase with something that’s actually funny and interesting.
I’ll report back.

It’s incredibly stupid, but I do think it’s kind of funny how worked up people like the OP get over it. How does him writing a stupid phrase affect you in any way whatsoever? Why should he have to stop? Why on Earth should moderators be involved?
It’s also funny/sad that despite how stupid and tired it is he’s still committed to doing it years and years later.
BTW, the original clip was funny because Creed is a weird motherfucker, and the fact that throwing random objects into a quarry is his idea of entertainment (especially as an older adult) is also weird and fitting for his character. The story that spawned SB’s usage of the phrase also struck me as funny - as someone mentioned upthread, somebody said they set their co-worker’s computer to replace “LOL” with the phrase in question automatically as an auto-correct thing (can anyone find this thread?). The reason that’s funny is because you can imagine the person it was done to being baffled by the strange replacement. SB then taking this idea and doing it purposely is entirely contrived and not at all funny.
Well, I am less annoyed (and I wasn’t that annoyed before), now that I know Bo is just running a script that automatically inserts the catchphrase whenever he LOLs.
He has contributions? You may be right, but to be honest, ever since he started his little gimmick I find I don’t bother reading his posts any more. When I see who it is I just think “The quarry fucker wrote that, and he’s a wanker” and then I skim on past.
Surprised more people don’t see it that way, this prick is writing posts that consist of nothing “LOL”. Just “lol” and nothing else. If another poster did that they would get kicked in the balls.
Anyhow, this cumstain only enjoys the attention, he will be hovering around this thread like a fly on shit and we will hear the catchphrase a few more times before the end. At least he thinks he’s happy.

You are absolutely wrong. I never called Guinastasia, or any other poster, a cunt. In fact, I’ve never called anyone, poster or not, a cunt. IN FACT, I’ve never even posted that word on the SDMB; I have more class than that (and way more than you). My cite is this search for any use of the word in any post by me for the last 10 years.
Also in fact, I never called a Guinastasia a name at all, although she did allude to calling me a 7-year old.

No, they don’t make me happy, not like you mean. Yeah, it’s kind of amusing in a befuddled kind of way that people can get so worked up about something so simple, especially considering that my use of it isn’t all that often. But no, I’m not cackling with glee over the need to defend myself from accusations of trolling or of calling people a cunt, etc.
