So-called beautiful celebrities you find UGLY

Sarah Jessica Parker is deeply unappealing on any level, and often does stand-in work as a pantomime horse without any props or costume.

Uma Thurman is dull and genetically malformed.

Penelope Cruz has been genetically spliced with a duck and takes hammer blows to the face on a regular basis.

Kylie Minogue’s head was surgically replaced with that of a very ugly horse at any early age.

Portia de Rossi, that demented mess of blonde curls from McBeal, has the fattest, most featureless face on television, and wide-screen TV is actually being introduced just so that she can work in the medium.

These things are obvious if you just take a look. Honestly, I wouldn’t be attracted to any of them even if I was feeling horny enough to fuck a barber’s floor.

Minnie Driver-she looks like snoopy to me. She also looks bitchy. It may just be me but I find most Brits bitchy

Marisa Tomei, Sandra Bullock, Meg Ryan-all for the same reason. They try to be cute. Don’t just wrinkle your nose and giggle and think that’s all you have to do. (Ashley Judd strikes me as someone who is cute without striving to be)

Renee Zellwigger-not sure if she’s considered beautiful but I think she’s hideous. Something is wrong with her eyes.

I go back and forth on Britney Spears. I agree that she looks bad most of the time but in that Pepsi commercial she looks very hot. I think it’s the 50s one. The one that’s in the soda parlor.

Drew Barrymore. I thought she was a funny looking kid, but as an adult, she’s a walking train-wreck. Her face always looks lumpy to me. She holds her jaw like she’s trying to scrape a big wad of chewing gum off the roof of her mouth. Her eyes droop, and her hair looks like a rat’s nest. Her body doesn’t look like anything special, even when she is toned up. I’m glad I missed that striptease she did for David Letterman years ago.

BTW, I agree withBrynda, Ellen Barkin may not be pretty, but she is definitely sexy.

All the women mentioned above are stunning compared with Mariel Hemingway. I take that back. All the women mentioned above except Glen Close and **Katherine Hepburn ** are stunning compared with Mariel Hemingway

Uma Thurman. She’s ok, but not gorgeous or anything.

Denise Richardson, who always has a vacant look on her face. My sister and I make fun of her acting all the time, too. “Look, here’s Denise angry” vacant look “Here’s Denise feeling sexy” vacant look “Here’s Denise dying from a dread disease” vacant look Anyway, I swear I have no idea what is so appealing about her. Appalling, maybe. Not appealing.

Tom Cruise. I’ve never understoond his appeal. He’s just not that good-looking!

Ditto for Brad Pitt. Huh? If he hit on me in a bar, I would certainly be looking more for personality.

Uma Thurman, doesn’t look all that great in the Lancome ads.

Sara Jessica Parker, she has old lady hands. I don’t know why that bothers me.

Buffy, I’m not even going to try to spell her name. Check out the Maybelline Wet Shine nail polish ads, somebody should tell her to wear sunblock.

Brad Pitt, looks like a druggie to me.

Julia Roberts, for all the reasons stated by everybody else. She didn’t look too bad on the W cover, but her mouth was closed and her hair was brushed.

VH1/Vouge Model of the Year Stella Tennent. Not really a celeb, but she scares me. She can be seen in the creepy Hermes “The Hand” ads. With that creepy floating hand holding her top on.

It occurs to me that I read way too many fashion magazines.

yojimboguy, do you mean Sophie Dahl?

Opinion polls are better suited to the IMHO forum.

I’m just repeating, but I don’t think it can be said enough
Sarah Jessica Parker - aka “Samson”. Take away her hair, and you’re stuck with one ugly woman
Penelope Cruz - aka “Old Rat Face”
Cameron Diaz - not just unattractive, annoying too!
Minnie Driver - looks trashy and hard.
Gwyneth Paltrow
Kevin Costner
(male list is shorter because it’s hard to be bitchy about the opposite sex).

I must disagree with Kate Winslet’s nomination - she’s gorgeous. I also think Julia Roberts is very attractive, and I find myself flip-flopping about Angelina Jolie

Ditto on the Tom Cruise/George Clooney votes.
Ick.

I wasn’t going to answer, until I read Buffy-- that woman really gets me, or should I say, my stomach. I’m thinking, “Yes, she is type cast for a show about the dead”. A glance at her and my animal instinct yells “Incureable disease! Run!”

Katherine Hepburn evolks about the same response, except she doesn’t imagine her looks are somehow a prototype for lewd displays on magazines.

I’m prepared to be alone on this one:

Mel Gibson.

I find a certain popular “type” of female actress to be not necessarily ugly but just plain unattractive. I’m referring to women who are so glammed-up that all they can do is look vacuous and stoned. Examples, many of whom have already been mentioned: Angelina Jolie, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Pamela Anderson. Their publicity shots look like they should be captioned “Duhh…”

I am so glad I’m not the only one who finds Sarah Jessica Parker completely unappealing. She has a kickass figure, but that face is struggling.

Pamela Anderson. I was so disappointed when her “mystery disease” turned out to just be hepatitis. I was totally rooting for syphilis.

Jennifer Love Hewitt - what the hell? How does she keep from tipping over when she stands?

Uma Thurman - ugliest celebrity ever…with the possible exception of Kate Moss

David Boreanaz - I’d take Wesley or Gunn over Angel ANYday.

Tom Green - but I’m not sure anyone finds him attractive

Kevin Costner

bleh.

Nikki Cox. She has an interesting figure, but I don’t understand why people think she’s pretty. (Oh, and I really wouldn’t call her ugly, as that’s a word which I use very sparingly. I try to curb my natural tendency to judge people based on their appearances. As a result, I’m very reluctant to use the u-word.)

As for Ms. Ally McBeal, I actually do find her attractive – but not because she’s so thin. When viewed just right, there’s a certain something about her face that I li ke.

Sarah Michelle Gellar is still attractive IMO, but in a lot of still shots, she does look rather vacuous. (Still shots only, mind you.) As I understand though, she’s actually rather brainy.

Julia Roberts, Sandra Bullock, Cameron Diaz. They’re proof that people are sheep and will consider anything beautiful as long as the mainstream media tells them.

I think you’re being unduly harsh. I thought Sandra Bullock was attractive when I first watched Speed – and this was well before the media started telling us that she’s beautiful. Ditto for Cameron Diaz in The Mask.
When done up right, they’re actually quite attractive. Even when they’re not done up correctly, they may look more ordinary but I hardly think they’d be considered “ugly.”

Pamela Anderson is just plain nasty.
Celine Dion looks like a horse, or a man in a wig.
Brittney Spears looks sexy sometimes, and like trailer trash at
other times. I agree that she does look hot in the 50’s Pepsi ad.
Is that her real butt, or did they use a computer to change it?
I had never even noticed her bottom before, and it looks pretty good in that commercial.

Pamela Anderson wasn’t all that great to start with and she has gone far downhill. She’s the only female celebrity I’m tired of seeing naked.

In fact most of the centerfolds in Playboy in the last few years have become caricatures of the California Blonde Bimbo look. It wasn’t my favorite look to start with and it’s become more and more boring.

I liked Charlie’s Angels but Drew Barrymore’s, Cameron Diaz’, and Lucy Liu’s reputations as sex symbols are inexplicable to me. I don’t find any of them particularly attractive.

A lot of fashion models look freakish, but I won’t take the time to make a list.

Other supposed beauties that have been mentioned and I also don’t find that attractive are Kim Basinger, Angelina Jolie, Gwyneth Paltrow, Michelle Pfeiffer, Uma Thurman, and Renee Zellwigger.

On the other hand, women whose mention I disagree with include Sandra Bullock, Portia de Rossi, Minnie Driver, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Jennifer Love Hewitt, Nicole Kidman, and Kate Winslet, all of whom I find attractive. And I was especially surprised by mention of Penelope Cruz who I consider one of the most beautiful women out there.

Other women who are often described as beautiful but I regard as neutral in appearance at best include Christina Aguilera, Jolene Blalock, Neve Campbell, Mariah Carey, Geena Davis, Carmen Electra, Geri Halliwell, Anna Kournikova, Lucy Lawless, Cindy Margolis, Rose McGowen, Alyssa Milano, Demi Moore, Tara Reid, Isabella Rossellini, Jeri Ryan, Anna Nicole Smith, Suzanne Somers, Sharon Stone, Tiffany Amber Thiessen, Jennifer Tilly, Liv Tyler, Vanna White, and Michelle Williams. All of whom will read this post immediately before we become stuck in an elevator together for six hours.

I agree with a lot of what is being said, but I also agree with JubilationTCornpone that it is rather harsh. Let’s face it, you haven’t got much left after naming all of those people.
