So college dopers, whatcha taking this quarter?

I start on Monday. Easiest semester ever scheduled follows:

Theatre Appreciation
Personal Health & Wellness
Accounting I
Survey of World Civilization I
American Government

I am looking forward to it.

Atlantic Canadian History after 1870 (I took Prior to 1870 a couple years ago)
Later Medieval Europe
And either the Dead Sea Scrolls or Chinese and Japanese Religions–I’m currently signed up for the first, but if space opens up I’ll probably switch to the second.

After last semester I’m trying to take things easy.

Introduction to the Internet and Multimedia systems
Database Applications and Information Systems
Computer systems administrations
Systems analysis I
Accounting I

Senior in Information Technolgoy BS, though technically I will have two years as a senior. Start in a week and a half ( Jan 16 actually, so not quite the half).

Even better… weapons design (or maybe testing, that’s fun, too. And you get to see a better variety of shots). MS in mechanical engineering - explosives, and MEM (Master of Engineering Management), dual major.

Economics major, two semesters to go!

Public Finance
Intermediate Microeconomics
Seminar in Economics
Consumer Economics
Astronomy
Drawing

18 hours, but I plan on being unemployed.

I start on Monday with this 15 hour schedule:

Sociology
Geography
Trig
Art History
Macroeconomics

History of Chicago from Trading Post to Metropolis

I have to be done by March 6. Like THAT’S going to happen.

Ughh…I go back to class on Monday and I still haven’t registered for classes. I owe the library ten bucks and I’ve been a slacker about paying it back. If they only accepted my check card! I’m a college kid, when do I have cash on me? Anywho, enough whining, here’s what I need to take this semester:

Differential Equations
Math History
Any Lit Class
Any Geography class that I’ve not previously taken, probably will be either Land Management Planning or Adv GIS.

I really enjoyed GIS; I hope you have fun with it too!

General Psychology
Secondary Choral Methods (this actually incorporates three different classes)
Elementary Choral Lit Lab
Orchestration

Starting my second semester as a first year grad student the Tuesday after Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

I’ll be taking:

Intro. to Finite Element Analysis (I took it as an undergrad, but didn’t do too well and know I could use a good refresher.)
Physiology Metabolism
ME Seminar
Biomedical Measurement and Instrumentation Systems

Last semester, then I get to put on my pretty black dress with goofy black hat and cool-looking hood!

This semester, I’ve got:
[ul]
[li]Law and the Media[/li][li]Broadcast Performance[/li][li]Technical Writing II[/li]and, last but definitely not least
[li]Professional Project[/li][/ul]

I’m going to be very busy since the project alone is probably going to take ~20 hours or so a week to do. I’ve also got my assistantship and I’m the co-chair of the graduate student board, so I’ve got a lot on my plate. Fortunately, none of my actual classes are that difficult.

Robin

Principles of Programming Languages
Computer Architecture
Concurrent and Parallel Programming
Microeconomic Theory 2
Macroeconomic Theory 2

Writing seminar (unfortunate requirement)
Organic Chemistry II
Comparative Physiology
Genes, Health, and Society
Quantitative Methods in Psychology (which means statistics)

My last three classes before I graduate are:

ISM 4300 Information Technology Management
ISM 4130 Information Systems Implementation
SYO 4371 Cultures of Human Organization

Diff EQ… exciting stuff. It should really be called Algebra III.

Man! Y’all (well, OK, really only some of y’all) make me wish I was back in college!

2nd semester sophomore, in a computer systems major (specifically called “Computer Networking and Information Systems”)

Unix System Administration
Database Management Systems
Financial Accounting
Systems Analysis and Business Applications
Technical Communications

should be an interesting semester…

Thanks! I’ve decided to do a minor in GIS/Cartography since many of the classes/credits I take for it will double count as directed-elective credits needed for my Geology degree.

I have also talked to grad students and working geologists who say experience in GIS is a very good thing to have.

I finished my undergrad course work in May '06 at Univ of Kentucky, and later I promised myself that I’d enroll in graduate school if I didn’t have a job as an engineer by early January 2007. That time has come, so just today I enrolled at WVU as an industrial engineering major. Kudos to the faculty for getting me in touch with an advisor and helping me register on such short notice.

Courses will be:

Computer Integrated Manufacturing
Advanced Production Control
Engineering Economy
IE Seminar course
IE research

Those 13 credit hours of graduate courses should kick my ass pretty hard I think.

I had a job interview yesterday and will have another next week, so I plan to drop out and get partial tuition reimbursement if I get a job offer soon.

I’ll be taking a history seminar, Cruelty and Violence in Roman History, and a classics seminar, Greek Mythography. I’m also doing 3 credits of thesis research, and am TAing Western Heritage I.

I was considering doing a summer class in GIS - on an archaeological survey in Turkey. Doesn’t look like it’s going to happen, but I figured I’d throw in yet another use for GIS!
