So how was your Friday night?

I watched Firefly, which was a bit of a let down. Stupid Fox advertising, why do they have to screw everything up? First it was a space drama, then a quirky comedy (which this episode definitely WASN’T, except for a one liner in the beginning), then it was from the Buffy guy. Well, it got kinda boring in the second half, anyways. :o But after that A.I. was on one of the movie channels. Man, that Spielberg sure is something ;j , that was one of the best movies I’ve seen in a long while. Then I went to sleep.

Eh, was ok. Went to a movie with my gf, then we went to our h.s.'s football game (we lost, we cheer/bet against them), had a lot of fun…
But my gf’s dad was really pissed at us for not standing for the national anthem (btw we know he went there to keep an eye on us). We weren’t in the stands, we were off to the side comfortably laying against a tree. So I’m pissed off at him.
But overall it was a fun friday.

I went to school and filled my brain with knowledge and all that fun stuff. Then heavy orchestra rehearsal went on for a few hours then we ate dinner as a group and had more rehearsing. Then afterwards, everyone went to some comedy improv club and laughed 'til late.

Mine was great. Had a date, played some mini-golf. She left Saturday afternoon. Other then that it’s no one elses business.

When a Friday date runs into Saturday afternoon that’s almost never a bad thing. Congrats Ed The Head!

I spent the early part of Friday night at a large happy hour over at Watson Brother’s Brewery, home of the CincyDopes. Better yet I found out some manager’s from my company were buying. Lots of alcohol was consumed. The IT and some other parts of my company were almost sold to EDS on Thursday, but our managment deferred just as EDS stock crashed and dragged down the whole stock market. None of us is too keen on the prospect, so there was a lot of venting. Later at home I watched Monk and then episode 6 of the Soprano’s third season. Except for the headache it was a good evening.

Well, we had a reasonably mellow evening and then after my son went to bed, our friends came over to keep an ear out for him so we could go out and hear a band we really like. The husband played with our x-box and the wife just sat and read a book on the couch–that was how they passed the time.

It was a really nice break. It’s awesome to get to go out and NOT have to come home and hand a wad of cash to a babysitter.
