So, how's the weather?

Aw, hell, yeah. I’m at 5800. No wonder.

Beautiful day here in Auckland. Some showers were predicted, but they never eventuated. Front door’s open to let in some air, the neighbour’s cat came by to say hello then wandered out again – we’re basking in the sunshine of a pleasant mid-spring weekend.

Until today.

A little north of Phoenix, it is splendid. Clear, brilliant days, cooler nights. Highs in the mid-80s with humidity in the single digits, so feels much cooler (the other day the humidity was 5 percent).

Dark skies up here, so when the moon isn’t near full, as it is now, the night sky is spectacular.

Nice. Mid to upper 70s the past couple of days for highs with lows in the low to mid 50s. That’s cool Fall weather in south Georgia folks. Tonight we are going to a weinie roast and it should be nice to sit outside around a fire, roasting hot dogs and toasting marshmallows and consuming adult beverages. Especially nice for me because I was designated driver last night which means ACBG is DD tonight. I think I got the better end of that deal. Plus, thanks to my having been on third shift for three weeks now, I am now more of a night person and can really enjoy it.

We may get back into the low 80s some next week but low temps will still hover int he 50s.

Still enjoying the unseasonably nice weather. Overcast again, breezy, probably high 70s low 80s. It should get down to the mid to low 70s tonight (which is cool here. Sat outside last night playing on my laptop, and wore a wool peacoat comfortably).

Good thing, too, my sister’s Halloween party is tonight. It’s always such a pain in the ass this time of year, you never know if it’ll be 85 for the low or 65, so big, elaborate, hot costumes sometimes suck, but then skimpy costumes sometimes suck as well. This is a nice balance).

Hope my sister made jell-o shots.
