I’d be proactive and be ready with test results IN HAND before being intimate with someone new. If they shy away from returning that act, well…that tells me things right there.
IMO it’s usually when you agree to be exclusive and ditch the condoms but yeah. Pretty much standard practice.
I started dating again after my wife died in 2014. Exchanging STD test results before sexual contact was standard procedure, and I did it with every one of the women I had sex with until I remarried. I never had anyone balk at that, but I would have discontinued contact with anyone who did.
I have an app on my phone that tests me for STDs. My partner should too or no-go.
