So I got suspended :(

:dubious:

I did a search for all of those terms, and not one of them was used, except for “stupid”. Which was used by you.

I called his headline “laughable”

He also took exception to the quoted couplet which he felt was designed to insult him.

In other words, you “attacked the post, not the poster”, which is perfectly within the rules. So that’s still his problem.

Most of us were saying nothing about his opinions, and refuting only his copious load of “facts” that weren’t close to true.

:)

Band name!

Banned name!

Or a Beach Boys album title.

This, BTW, is why, when I get angry, I pull away for a bit. Go do something else online to calm you down a bit. Especially any time you’re tempted to make multiple angry posts.

And if I do make an angry post (which I’m trying to do much more infrequently), I limit myself to one, then I stay away from that thread for a while.

Just a suggestion.

Speaking of Banned…or not banned…

Just sayin’

Sorry. I don’t get reports outside of the forums I mod so I didn’t see that thread. I’m posting from my phone, so I’ll pop on my CPU when I can if its not gone.

I get an invalid thread notification. Usually not what I get when a thread has been removed, either.

It’s been cornfielded based on what I see

Those Beatles discussions seemed like a series of provably untrue, completely ahistoric assertions, that when anyone answered, it just got ignored, and not just by the OP. It was actually painful to someone who has a lot of time and emotion invested in the fabs.

Eventually someone is going to use the ignorant word to describe that. I might have. Then I got this response that was so over the top it was like it was a Batman villain or pro wrestling bad guy. I figure the guy is in it for the laughs and I should be too at that point. It was not a discussion of any kind. OP must look in the mirror about that.

Then all the sudden it was in the pit and he was banned and I just wanted the chance to be as uninhibited as he seemed to be, after he got back.

I thought it should have stayed in the pit: There was not just one person making ahistoric assertions, and putting fingers in ears.
