I saw that original thread, where she appears (don’t fully understand the OP myself) to be backing posters (Candyboi?) who got given a hard time. From then on, she gets grief, left right and centre. All your quotes are comebacks on people who gave HER grief. She isn’t saying she hasn’t attacked anyone, but claimed self-defence. Looking through that link you gave me, the evidence seems to be on her side.
Okay, get off her case, guys. She has some good points. This DOES seem like a closed society, especially the Pit. And we could all fill out our profiles more completely. It would be nice to know more about each other.
A tip, kid? Stay out of the Pit. It brings out the worst in people. Many of these same people are perfectly reasonable elsewhere.

She’s not a stupid lady. I never said she was. She seems to be intellegent, but is enjoying getting the response she has got.
Biffer, the thread ToF linked to isn’t G. Nome’s first thread, it’s just an example of her attacking people.

Basically, she posted a lot of insane things, like that the FBI was after her, that scientists were making people impotent with black boxes, and some other loopy things.
When people tried to point out that this was insane, she continued babbling until LunaSea got irritated enough to start the Pit thread linked above.

I’m not sure why posting insanity should be interpreted as an attack. A little insanity can be fun, no? To take personally the suggestion that the FBI are implanting Amercians with tracking devices just seems risable (unless you know something we don’t…)
I think Ms Nome occassionally does a rather good job of forcing us to rethink our relationship with this cyberreality. I would suggest that if that is her intention however, she may be better advised to avoid the hyperbole and insults and instead explore the subject in a forum such as GD.

In My Humble Opinion It appears to me that she is suggesting that Wally was forgotten about, not just that newbies didnt want who he was.
I hope that this explains my attitude towards this particular poster. If it looked like I was bullying, my apologies, but I’m not going to react any differently to a troll. I dont know why I even care sometimes.

I’ve just read through the whole of that thread, and really can’t see anything s/he has written that is insulting - original phrasing and use of language, some provocative imagery, but no insults. I don’t think G.Nome is looking to piss off anyone, rather I think she’s looking to try to be as expressive as printed language allows.

I have said before that I find G. Nome a little contrived, and I can see that she may have pissed a few people off. However, the jumping on she has got is IMHO way out of proportion to any degree of foolishness or insensitivity she has recently displayed and the scent of mob mentality that seems to be in the air whenever she posts is distasteful. If people think that she is trolling for negative reactions don’t start yet another pit thread with her name in the title. If you don’t like her or find her irritating, ignore her - don’t poke her with a stick and say she is a jerk when she snaps back.
