For me it would be Tom. He’s certainly no gym god and isn’t likely to ever be seen romping naked through alfalfa with Ashton Kutcher clones in an Abercrombie & Fitch ad, but there’s something really sexy about him. (Perhaps it’s the talent.)
I’m curious to see if anybody chooses Carson. I suppose it’s possible to see him as sexy (John Goodman married a beauty queen, after all) but it’s difficult (and I’m not really sure why- he has very nice legs and decently toned arms).
I’d have to say Ted (after Kyan, of course). There’s just something about him I really like … can’t really put my finger on it. But who can resist a man who cooks? Yummy! He also vaguely reminds me of someone (famous?), but I haven’t figured out who it is yet. Maybe someone can give me some ideas on who that might be.
I’d say Jai, because he is really cute and sweet, but he’s too boyish for me. I always think he looks kind of sad for some reason. Maybe it’s because he never gets to do anything really important on the show!
Ted, hands down. He’s handsome, erudite, and I suspect that he can fuck like a tiger when the lights go down.
Tom would be fun to hang out with, but I don’t find him sexy. I wouldn’t do Carson because he’s too nelly for my tastes–it would be like having sex with Eve Arden in a peroxide rinse. (plus I’d have to gag him so he’d shut up while we were doing it.) Jai is too skinny and too boyish.
Of the straight guys who have been on the show, I’d definitely do the guy with the Armenian girlfriend. That man is gorgeous!
I’m a straight guy, and what’s more a straight guy of the type they were “eyeing” in season 1 not one of these new fangled olympic-figure-skater-married-to-beautiful-other-figure-skater types.
So keeping that in mind (i.e. I probably have no taste in men) my first choice would definitely be Ted. I can’t vouch for his sexiness but he seems like one of the most fun guys on the show and is obviously very smart.
Second choice would probably be Thom. (There is an “h”, right? Or am I crazy?) Same deal.
I don’t get the Kyan love, but it seems prevalent among the gay and female friends I have who watch the show. He seems like he would annoy me after a couple hours. I dunno.
well, speaking as another straight female, i’m not so much interested in trying to “do” any of them… but i’d love to hang out with Carson. snarkiness appeals to me in a big way.
i guess Ted would be next-best, for intelligent conversation and picking up cooking tips. Kyan might do as passive eye candy, but that’s about it.
All are welcome in the Fellowship of the Five, and their sins and longings will be washed clean from the back with the Product of Wisdom and Tolerance.
Kyan for a steamy romp, but Thom for something more meaningful. Carson would be fun to people-watch with and Ted would be great for a conversation. Jai? Uh, I guess he’s the one I would go to if I wanted to score some tickets for *Mamma Mia * or something.
Another vote for Ted. It seems like I’d have more in common with him than with any of the others–I’m also kind of nerdy and quiet. Plus, his specialty is the only one that I think would come in handy on a vacation getaway (since I’m not much of a shopper or moisturizer).
I’m amazed! I would have thought Carson would be the favorite. But I’m a straight guy so what do I know. I guess it’s because he’s the most feminine looking. I’ve always thought if he was a girl, he would be kind of cute. I must admit, however, that he’s starting to bug me. It seems like the more popular the show gets, the more silly and in-your-face he gets.
A hijack (but I started the thread, so I can do that): I think of the Five Carson is the one who will have the longest show-biz career. Thom & Ted already had lucrative careers to go back to, Jai will probably remain in gay roles in on&off B’way theater and Kyan will become America’s best paid hairdresser until his looks fade, but Carson’s wit and delivery almost guarantee him a position in front of the cameras for a long time.
Did anybody see his hosting of the “Independent Spirit Awards”? He was a total breath of fresh air from the usual blown-dry pretty-boy and vapid she-model fishbrains who usually host such shows- at once funny, intelligent, informed and spontaneous. When QUEER EYE has run its course in another year or two, I’m guessing talk-show deal or general Truman Capote style guest shots for him for a long time.
Kyan? Yeah, right. He’s only sorta cute, in my opinion - I think Jai and Ted both have him beat in looks, even if Jai’s a little too girly for my taste.
Anyway, count this boy in as yet another crush on Ted. I have such a thing for him; I find the show silly and worthless but I tune in for Ted and his cooking.
But good cooking has always been the easy way to get me in the sack. I’m a whore for a really good meal.
I dunno. Ted’s just so adorable and cute and handsome. Plus, he seems smart, and to cook you have to have a sensual attitude. Smart people are dirtier and more fun in bed.
On the other hand, I’d LOVE to hang out with Carson. He’s such a funny, bitchy man.
