Cocaine, methamphetamine, and morphine are indeed schedule II substances, despite Dr. Coker’s misinformation to the contrary, fushj00mang.
Here’s a nice, easy-to-read chart provided by the DEA, since the cite that Shirt already provided from the Law Department at Cornell didn’t seem to convince you.
I think you’re all missing the salient point here: how much does this stuff cost, and where can I get me some?
Mega-Dittos, Rush!
[sup]You all do realize that we’re talking about a story “broken” by the National Enquirer (if I recall correctly), right? I’m with Airman… I’m willing to give him the benefit of the doubt until there is something more substantial to chew on…[/sup]
I’d give him the benifit of the doubt if he was actually saying the allegation was not true. When he isn’t even denying it then I think that is kind of hard for anybody else to deny it.
From my point of view, the problem isn’t that people use drugs (which is inevitable), but that governments ban drugs, thus forcing the trade (and the profits) into the black market. Complain to your elected representative, don’t “burn druggies.”
When drugs are illegal many of these problems will stop. No doubt. I support (some sort of policy of) drug liberalization.
Until then, people who use drugs are destroying the culture, country and city I love. They do it without a thought to the people they are killing in faraway places.
They are rich, selfish first-world swine.
I no longer have any sympathy for them.
I would point out that few of my neighbors (can afford to) use drugs. It is Americans who are exporting their problems south. The rich users get into “treatment tracks,” poor Central Americans end up in jail or dead.
True, not all Central Americans are innocent, but many of the people hurt by the trade in drugs are.
(Of course I will have to admit that I am going off on a Dennis Miller-like rant here. After all people who supply Rush with Little Green Pills are killing people in America mostly I guess.)
(OTOH, his maid was his connection and she is a Hispanic.)
I would love to think i can be as knee jerk liberal as the next dem, but this story just plain doesn’t scan.
Accourding to the story she supplied him with something like 4000 pills over the course of a month. That is maybe 120 pills a day. 120 Pills a day??? How the hell does anyone take 120 pills a day and not be dead from toxicity? He doesn’t seem to have changed what he passes off as lucidity. Heck, even over drugged little old ladies in nursing homes don’t take alot more than 20 pills a day. How on earth is this possible and this man isn’t dead, or at the very least, some drooling bit of protoplasm on life support.
Then we get to the woman. How does someone who starts by snitching her brothers meds get access to the volume that allows her to provide 4000 pills a month? Why would someone with those kind of connections be a maid?
I have no idea whether this man has a drug problem. I can appriciate the irony if it is true, but I really wouldn’t wish that on anyone. This story, as presented so far, makes no sense at all.
In an attempt to be helpful, I have forwarded you a few hundred of the recent spams I have received offering Vicodin at low, low prices. No, no need to thank me…
