So, specifically directed toward Bernie supporters...

It’s polite of you to recuse yourself from intelligent discussion with a statement like this - it saves time.

Apparently you aren’t getting the picture. THAT’S NOT HOW PRESIDENTIAL ELECTIONS WORK. SHE LOST.

I was replying specifically to your post (my bold):

Yes, she lost the election because of the way the electoral college assigns electoral votes.

BUT, replying to your specific point (which I have bolded), she DID have the political savvy to beat Trump and she did beat him: she got more votes.

Because of the technicality of THE WAY PRESIDENTIAL ELECTIONS WORK, she did not, in fact, win the election or become president. But you cannot say that she didn’t beat Trump (well, you can until you’re blue in the face, but you would be wrong). She got more votes. More people voted for her than for him. When the votes are counted, she will have more votes. Try to grasp that.

Yes. Granted. That’s not the way elections work, because of the electoral college.

BUT SHE DID WIN THE ELECTION BASED ON NUMBER OF VOTES. Therefore, she DID BEAT TRUMP.

Her voter base did not melt down, because she got more votes. She lost the election in spite of GETTING MORE VOTES.

Look at these FACTS any which way you can, and maybe they’ll sink in.

Clinton. Got. More. Votes. Almost TWO MILLION more than Trump. She. Beat. Him.

She did not win the election, true, but not because she didn’t get more votes. She DID get more votes.

I think I’ve covered it.

Actually I don’t want to be ALL CAPPING at you or the other here except for the OP who demonstrates that you shouldn’t believe what your mom tells you your IQ score is or blaming Bernie’s supporters for this loss. Happy Thanksgiving ThelmaLou.

My limited understanding of this is that the latter is true … The Bernie supporters just didn’t vote … I have no idea why the OP thinks they did in large numbers for The Donald … but then again I’m just an uneducated construction laborer with an IQ well below a thousand … or so …

I’m seriously gonna blow your mind: Much of what you think you know, is actually misinformation designed by people who want to manipulate you.

It’s because we are rational and informed that we knew Trump on his worst day would be a better President than Clinton on her best day. Deal with it.

One only resorts to all caps when one gets the impression that the other person is not listening (reading), which is the impression I got when you replied with a comment that ignored the gist of what I said. Hillary’s lead is now more than 2 million votes.

What a leaking anus.

Perhaps you are retarded and do not understand that to win, one has to win by the rules of the game.

It doesn’t matter if she “GOT MORE VOTES” than Trump, that is a meaningless fact with regards to “WINNING”. If a person is playing baseball, it does not matter that one team managed to (say) hit the ball more times than the other team did. It’s a not very interesting or useful fact. It would be like saying “But Team A DID WIN THE WORLD SERIES BASED ON THE NUMBER OF TIMES THEIR BATS CONNECTED WITH THE BALL or BASED ON THE NUMBER OF TIMES THEIR PITCHER SPIT ON THE GROUND. Therefore, THEY DID BEAT TEAM B, WHO MERELY SCORED HIGHER.”

And the fact that Hillary got more votes is exactly the same sort of trivia. To win, you need more electors. She did not get more electors. Therefore, she LOST.

I think I’ve covered it.

If only we lived in a democracy.

That is factually incorrect. The contest is not to win the popular vote. You know that. Why do you knowingly persist in spreading a lie?

Only 165? John was right. You are proud to be stupid.

Thank OG we don’t!

This is what “Everybody gets a trophy” gives us …

In a sense, Clinton won the election.

It just sadly wasn’t in the particular sense that mattered.

I conceded repeatedly that she lost the election. She lost by the rules of the game. Yes. You are correct.

TriPolar said she couldn’t beat Trump. She did beat him–she got more votes. She did not win the election, but she beat Trump by getting more votes. Two million more people voted for her than for Trump. The public chose her over Trump.

Notwithstanding that the rules of the game dictated that she did not win the Presidency.

I wasn’t talking about whether she won the election. I know she didn’t. I was talking about the fact that she did beat Trump by two million votes.

It is factually correct that she got more votes. It is also factually correct that she did not win the election.

Ahem.

Which is it?

I made my point. Keep arguing among yourselves.
