My sister and I are taking our mom to see “The Vagina Monologues” and then out to a nice dinner. My mom is 76, and very open-minded. It’s the only way she’s been able to stay married to my dad for over 50 years.
So what are you getting your mom for Mother’s Day?
Me and my two sister chipped in to buy her a gorgeous gold locket. Inside is a picture of the three of us on one side and the other has a picture of her grandsons.
I am a baaad daughter. I have to work that weekend, so I won’t even be home to visit. I guess I’ll get her a card and give her a call. My mother is pretty tough to shop for, and what she really likes is to see me, anyhow, which I think is cool, but that makes it suck like gravity that I can’t go home and hang with her for Mother’s Day. Wahh! Now my sister will get all the Brownie Points and attention because she’s able to hang out with Mom and I can’t! (stomping foot) Wahh!
My four siblings and I are pitching in for a donation to a group which gives chicks and livestock to families in destitute areas overseas, teaches the people to take care of the animals, so they can have free eggs and food from their livestock. If PETA has a problem with that, I’ll meet 'em out back.
Not sure about my mom. However, she was just out visiting and admiring the fact that I have planted mini-gladiolas. So I think I might go get her some mini-glad bulbs. Their house is too windy for tall glads.
My MIL is getting the Longaberger “Mother’s Day Basket” that I ordered in March.
I wish the heck I knew. My mom and mother-in-law are both impossible, 'cause they don’t need anything…and have too much of everything else…The pleasure of my company and maybe free babysitting for my Mom??? MIL? I don’t have a clue…
Ok guys, the plan was I’d look in here and rip off someone else’s idea. My mom & pop will be driving down to FL from IL on Mom’s Day. So whatever I get her will have to be portable and something she likes. Oooooo, maybe a cookbook…hmmmmmm…or book on playing bridge…
