There are lots and lots of new games coming out around this period. What’s occupying you?
For me it’s Dark Souls, and I probably will give Skyrim or Desu Ex a try if the price drop on Steam during the Christmas season.

Football Manager 2012 should sustain me until Skyrim, then I should be able to fit in the new Assassins Creed before SW:TOR is released.
Of course, being a PC gamer, Skyrim will have crippling bugs, Assassins Creed will be pushed back until after Christmas and SW:TOR will be unplayable for weeks after release. I wouldn’t have it any other way!
Then again, if Peterborough United don’t start defending properly then I might not have a monitor much longer… Useless bastards! BREAK HIS BLOODY LEGS!!!
Ahem.
Having fun with the new Heroes of Might and Magic game atm, also being made to feel like less of a man in Battlefield 3 but enjoying it none the less.
I will be playing (or trying to play) Skyrim nonstop, probably until the election in 2012. During breaks while I await mods and/or patches, I will cheerfully pretend Diablo 3 is imminent and brush up on strategy.
I’m going to be all over Goldeneye Reloaded when it comes out on Tuesday. 007 Goldeneye was my youth.
Fallout 3.
Yeah, I’m a bit behind. But it was only $10.
I’m still working on Dragon Age:Origins. I figure DAII should be nice and cheap by the time I finish!
You and me both; there aren’t many games I’m willing to buy at full retail, so I wait. I just started Assassin’s Creed 2 last night. heh.
That reminds me, I still have to do the final bit of that game (plus the DLC plus Awakenings). Not feeling too motivated, since I’ve been spoiled on it.
BF3 until Saints Row comes out. Once I tire of that I’ll play the new Assassin’s Creed. And once that’s done I’ll finish Batman.
I’m so excited for the Christmas break.
I bought a crapton of stuff on the Steam Summer sale and still haven’t finished. Fallout 3 is still on my “to do” list along with FO: New Vegas.
In the last couple months, I did Dragon Age: Origins and the DLC/expansions, Far Cry 2, Portal 2 and am just starting Batman: Arkham Asylum. By the time I’m done with that and Fallout (not counting all the less intensive non-plot-based games) I should be well into the Christmas sale season. Thinking about getting STALKER: SoC on the weekend Halloween sale.
I’m still screwing around with Black Ops a little, but right now most of my gaming time is being spent on Battlefield 3. I’ve already got Modern Warfare 3 on pre-order.
I’m also trying to get into Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit and thinking about Forza 4, but I don’t really have the time to play and get really good at any of them so I’ll probably skip it.
PS3: I’m still rocking the MLB: The Show 2010. And I just picked up Driver: San Francisco, not too long ago.
PC: Sims 3, believe it or not. I keep going back to that one, and I just got he Late Night expansion – which brings a little more adult fare to the franchise.
I did recently get Men of War: Viet Nam, but it is so geared toward hardcore war-gamers that it isn’t really much fun. I haven’t even been able to complete the first mission, in about 20 tries.
No official word for Torchlight 2 yet but I’d be surprised if it’s not out in time for Christmas.
I’m waiting for Skyrim on Friday, so I don’t want to get into anything too involved. I was on the brink of giving Dragon Age another shot yesterday, then thought better of it. I picked up Terraria a little while ago, and it’s been a worthy diversion, but I’m just about done with it. I’m also playing Patrician IV, which I find soothing and oddly engrossing. It’s a game that I can leave alone for a few months and then come back to hardly missing a beat, so it’s good filler. Too bad some of the cities are getting near their maximum size; that might take some of the fun out of the game when I hit that plateau.
Right now I’m alternating between City of Heroes and Fallout: New Vegas. When Skyrim comes out, that’s what I intend to play.
I’m still playing FO New Vegas (console) and just finished the final downloadable content pack (Lonesome Road) . The game is all but finished but I just can’t let go! I’ve decided that I cannot finish up until I have one of every single weapon available (and the mods) and all in perfect condition, stored away in my footlocker (it’s a big footlocker :P).
I’m almost finished doing this, and when I do I’ll probably move on to clothes/armor to make sure I have at least one of everything available, and all in perfect condition.
After that I’ll probably do something with my ammo - convert all ordinary ammo to specialized rounds/overcharged etc.
Then I might go scrounging for dishes, mugs and other houseware for Muggy and crew.
I just can’t let go.
Never did start Batman:AA as I bought Stalker and have been working my way through that. On the plus side, I’m guaranteed to have enough to keep me amused until the Steam Christmas sale.
