In the event that a Kind and Benevolent Doper wins The Big Lottery in the next few weeks and would like to bestow upon her or his’ many doper friends, I kindly submit my humble list:
Film/DVD
**Blackadder Collection **(if such a thing exists as I’ve never seen it and want to know more about it. And I love Hugh Laurie.
Muppets Seasons on DVD Whatever is out there, I would lurve to have. Books
The rest of Lindsey Davis’ series that I don’t have.
Just about every book on my Amazon Wish List .
The paperbacks to the Harry Potter books that have gone walk about. There is a gap on my shelf now and it is really bothering me. durn kids.
CD’s
The rest of the Jim Weiss storytelling CD’s to finish my collection. His stuff is awesome for kids and big kids. Just the entire collection of his ( I’ll donate the duplicates to the library.)
DVDs: Volumes upwards of #1 of SCTV, and the newest volume of Warner Bros cartoons.
Books: I would like to have more of the Joel Whitburn reference library on Billboard record charts. Of the two I need the most, one lists recordings from the dawn of the phonograph, and the other lists 78s from the period following WWI to 1955.
CDs: Well, I could fill out my collection of Beach Boys’ twofers (2 albums on 1 CD, with bonus tracks), by getting the rest of the series after “Holland.” None of their best music is included on any of these albums, but if I had them, the set would be complete.
Red vs. Blue Season 1
Red vs. Blue Season 2
Red vs. Blue Season 3
Ghost in the Shell Stand Alone Complex 2nd Gig Volume 2 Special Edition (Phew, that’s a mouthful)
Books:
Ghost in the Shell graphic novel
Ghost in the Shell: Man-Machine Interface graphic novel
Buffy, the entire series boxed set. I have seasons 1-5 already, don’t really want seasons 6&7, so this is a completely irrational request. Still. There’s something immensely satisfying about having the boxed set all nice and neat.
Ditto with Angel, which is even more irrational because I have all 5 seasons.
Sex & The City, the complete series. I have seasons 1-2 already. I think it’ll be just as cheap to buy the whole series from Costco, but it’s tough to shell out $150
As far as CDs go, I’ve got every CD I want to own, but not every song I want to own. I neeeeeeeeeeeed an iPod and an iTunes gift certificate, please.
DVDs. Meh. I own what I want to own (see above) and am content renting the rest. The only frivolous wish is Journey’s Houston concert that was just released. I could play it when I want to recapture my youth.
DVDs:
-The Avengers complete Emma Peel megaset. Last I checked on Amazon the price was down to around $80 - it’s usually closer to $200.
-The complete Futurama box set
-All three seasons of Strangers With Candy
CDs:
-The One Kiss Can Lead to Another: Girl Group Sounds Lost and Found box set by Rhino.
-Rhino’s Nuggets box set. Nope, I still don’t have it. I’d dig Nuggets II or Children of Nuggets as well
Books:
Any paperbacks by Kurt Vonnegut or Evelyn Waugh. Hardbacks are too heavy to carry around, and I like the feel of paperbacks.
Too many to list them all, but I’d love to receive:
