A card with a paper heart inside of it. And on the back of the heart? The alphabet written out in morse code.*
He’s great. (or … . … / --. .-. . .- -) I can’t wait to see what the rest of the evening will bring.
We’ve been talking for a while about how neat it would be to learn morse code and all of the devious ways we could use it. Looks like we’re gonna start now.
Mika, I give you http://www.designerfabrics.ca/shop/scripts/, my very favourite fabric store in the world. And bad. And dangerous. I got the fabric for every wedding dress I’ve made there.
I got three cards from large to small. I put the small card in the bathroom where he was bound to see it before he went to work. It just had a heart and said I LOVE YOU. This was the only one he’d seen when he kissed me goodbye this morning. In the kitchen, I put the medium sized card with three key lime truffles from See’s candy…and he said he thought, oh, what a nice surprise! Two cards and a few pieces of candy! Then, in front of the front door on the window ledge (positioned so that he’d HAVE to see it before he opened the door, I had the largest card and a whole box of his favorite candy, bordeaux. Hee heee heeeee!
He was very, very, surprised and happy!
Mr. Stasaeon is going to be ripping mad when he gets home and finds out his wife didn’t receive the flowers he’s had me waiting for all day.
I did get a card this morning though, and lots of hugs and kisses. I hid caramel hershey kisses all around the house in pairs of red and pink - easter egg hunting style - so my husband keeps running into them. I also hid some mini Snickers and other small wrapped chocolates for variety.
It’s 4pm here, and the flowers should have been here late morning/early afternoon. I want to go take a shower and have a nice long bath - they’ll probably show up then.
Nothing I hate more than just getting settled into the tub, nice and relaxed, and someone knocks on the door - especially when the person knocking has something you’ve been waiting for all day and you want to go get it!
Thank you for saying that! I’m a little apprehensive because I’ve never really gone “all-out” like that for a holiday before, but he does a lot of really great things for me and I just wanted to make sure tonight was special for him.
Oh, and I just got done watching the weather channel: Clear to mostly clear skies until dawn WOOOHOO!
Why does it hurt when I pee?
Darlin, sweet darlin’ what have you done to me?
Sweetheart, your love is so free
Cupid’s arrows are stingin’ me
I gave you my heart and you gave me VD
YAY! My flowers came! It was a dozen roses - he says they are not at all the colour he ordered, but I love them anyway - some are peach and some are white. ~swoom!
And they were delivered with a sweet little teddy bear, and a box of dark chocolate (I can’t eat much junk food, so these will be a wonderful treat for a while!)
Yeah. I’m a bit of a traditionalist. I like flowers, stuffed toys, candy. Makes it easy on Mr. Stasaeon, let me tell you!
And then I had… dare I say it? *The best * sex of my life. He’s been holding out on me. I still can’t walk right. Damn, I like Valentine’s Day! We should have it more often.
I was surprised by a small gift, card, and brief note from **Anaamika **on Saturday (I haven’t so much as opened the Valentine’s Day Exchange thread) but didn’t receive anything from anyone otherwise.
My mother got me a pair of boxer shorts with hearts on them three Valentine’s Days ago, and somehow that turned into a tradition. This is three years in a row, so I guess it really is one now. She gave me a nice-looking aquamarine pair of boxer briefs this evening. It beats last year, when she sent me two plain pairs and said “Anyway, I didn’t get a pair with hearts this year, since you’re alone.”
“That would have been very thoughtful of you… if you hadn’t gone out of your way to call attention to it,” I said. I like to think of that as the closest my family has ever come to doing something straight out of Arrested Development.
That’s pretty funny. And in my mind she made quote marks when she said “alone,” and spilled her martini all over the place.
For Valentine’s Day, I got a mixed bag of a lot of my favorite things, from candy to DVDs. In return, I gave flowers and tickets to a play this weekend.
