Though several rock bands are named after semen, I know of only two named after the ejacuation’s volume. One is 10cc and the other is The Lovin’ Spoonful. After a little checking, I found that a US teaspoonful is a little under 5 cc, the high end of Cecil’s 3 to 5 range. The lads in 10 cc, though, claim twice that! Buck Turgidson would be alarmed to see that, I’m sure. I never looked up the metric conversion before, so I never knew the 2 to 1 ratio between the two bands.
The things you learn on the SDMB! We are all about fighting ignorance, even trivial ignorance.
I didn’t know that, but I think we’re still talking about ejaculated semen. In Willie Dixon’s Spoonful, (later covered by Cream) I’m inclined to think Willie was singing about heroin instead.
