Other than on this board, I have never heard or seen in print any of the various “Christ” expressions, like:
“Christ in a side-car”
“Christ on a pogo stick”
“Christ on a crutch”
etc.
Granted, I don’t live in an area that’s near the cutting edge of anything (other than that one time back in 1861), but where did these expressions start coming from?
Where these expressions came from? I have no idea what so ever. I do know that they had to eventually come around though. it started small with things like “shit on a shingle.” later it built up to “humour in a juggular vien.” then it hit the religious side with “hell in a handbag.” naturually, it had to reach the christ side of things. hope that i confused you.
What you see is what you get, but you haven’t seen anything yet.
