So who's going to win the World Series?

In your own humble opinions who is going to win this years world series? Personally I am first and foremost a STL Cardinals fan, but I am a bit concerned about their starting rotation. Personally I think we will see a Houston vs. Anaheim World Series with Anaheim winning their second world series in three years.

The Cubbies, of course!

Cards over the Sox.

In what year?

The Yankees will be there because they have the guys that know how to win. The Cardinals are just better than their NL rivals. So we’ll get a rematch of the first World Series in my memory, the 1964 matchup of the Yankees and Cardinals. Only no Boyer brothers this time. I’d have to favor the Cardinals due to inconsistancy in the Yankees starting pitching.

The Cardinals have so many ways to win that it doesn’t all hang on pitching. I think they’ll take home the “Basket of Flags” this year.

Dodgers Forever!!!

Just maybe not this year…I don’t think they are going to be able to get past the Cards. But I have been wrong before…

Well, as a member of Cardinal Nation, I want us to win it, and I think we can.

I’m a bit concerned, though, that we may not have Chris Carpenter. That kinda worries me, since Matt Morris has been anything but the ace he was in the past. I think we match up well with the Dodgers, and I’m hoping the Braves can knock the Astros off, since the 'Stros have just about had our number this year.

The AL is gonna go like usual: A’s and Twins fold in the first round, and the Yankees will crush the Red Sox hopes in a Game 6 or 7 situation.

My guess is Cards-Yankees, and I’m taking the Redbirds in 5.

D’oh. Substitute “Angels” for “A’s” in that. I vapor-locked on the AL West, since I don’t keep up with the junior circuit.

Right teams, wrong result.

Red Sox, this is our year.

I’m required by law to say this. But this time I really mean it.

Anahein Angels over St Louis Cardinals. Vlad gets World Series MVP.

Red Sox,

This is our year.

As required by above law.

Obviously it will be the Red Sox. I am hoping for an Atlanta - Boston series. Atlanta never sells out, and it isn’t that far of a drive from DC to Atlanta.

The Yankees, of course.

Likelihood of winning:

Atlanta: 19%
Anaheim: 17%
New York: 17%
Houston: 15%
St. Louis: 14%
Los Angeles: 10%
Minnesota: 8%
Boston: 0%

Typical East Coast Mentality[sub]TM[/sub], the kind of mentality that will bite you hard in the ass…

There will be no Yankees v. Red Sox matchup for the ALCS, one or both will be missing from that match-up. Short series too…Red Sox better not be caught napping. Yankees are weaker compared to previous Yankee teams…right in the wheelhouse of the Twins. I know Red Sox fans want to exact revenge on those weak Yankees very badly, but one way or the other, it ain’t happening this year.

Angels will win the ALCS.

The winner of Cards v. Dodgers will determine the NLCS. I think the Cards will probably win in the deciding 5th game, and go on to win NLCS.

Cards v. Angels…hmmmmm…Angels in 7 by virtue of World Series experience.

Thanks again for playing Red Sox & Yankee fans!

any specific way you came up with that?

Astros all the way, baby! They’re hotter than a boiling pot of tar - nothing can stop them, not even a horde of medieval seige-layers at the base of the castle’s walls.

Latest betting odds. The Expos are listed, but apparently off the board  .
