I’m checking the TV listings for the week, and note that the Wednesday night show is an hour, good …
… and the Thursday night show is preempted for football. TV Guide’s page is local only, and Fox’s is unclear about when upcoming episodes will be aired – does anyone know if everyone has football Thursday, and, if so, when the results show will be aired – or if Philly is being singled out just to torture me?
I’m looking at the listing for my Directv. It says there’s an episode on Wed, 8/9 and another on Wed 8/17. There are no other listings. 8/9 says “final 4 compete” and 8/17 says “the winner is revealed”.
Now I’m wondering, too!

I checked again and there is a “Final part 1” and “Final part 2” they are one week apart. I have to assume that after Final Part 1 will be the final set of voting. Then they’ll make them dance more in Part 2, with no effect on the outcome. That sucks, if true, but it looks like it’s what’s going to happen.

Next week’s show is a 2-hour end-of-season show in which at least 2 rock stars perform (can’t remember who), all 20 of the final contestants return and we probably have 119 minutes of fill-fluff for one minute of winner reveal!
I thought Travis, Heidi and Benji were all pretty swell last night. Loved Heidi and Benji’s salsa. Loved Benji’s solo. Travis did the same solo he’s done every week. So did Heidi. Donyelle did a different kind of solo, but I didn’t like it too much.
I think this one is too close to call. . . but I think the judges want Travis to win.
I’m going to have to agree with you there–but I think the actual winner will be Benji.
I hate the anxious whipped-puppy expression Travis gets when he’s listening to feedback.
I think Heidi definitely outdanced Heidi, FWIW. And since I think the teeny boppers will be divided between Travis and Benjy, I’m giving Heidi the edge to win it all.
I loved Wade’s routine. Didn’t care for Mia Michaels’ routine or Tyse (Tice? Tyce?) routine. Hate Daniela’s choreography and she didn’t change my mind.
Personally, I think something in the show died when the more colorful dancers left. Not sure I like the format to vote two people off each week. Why? Just let them all dance (maybe start out with 12 instead of 20) and have us vote at the end.
Yes, the final day of competition just ended, and…I have no idea why either…there’s going to be a two hour finale to reveal the winner.
And I’m glad someone finally agrees with me on the fallacy of the absolutley ironclad, sacrosanct, inviolable, and freaking everywhere last-man-standing format. I always thought this was a flawed system at best (unless the contestants get to compete directly against each other, like on Survivor), but bring it to this show was just plain idiotic. Every week there’s less entertainment. Every week there’s anguish and misery from thousands upon thousands of fans. Not to mention a number of very difficult, if not downright painful, judges’ decisions? Who the hell likes this?? I’m all for cuts, but only to weed out the completely hopess cases (which are rare for this show), and once you’re down to a reasonable number (12 is fine; I’d say 8 should be the bare minimum), keep everyone and let’s see their best stuff.
(Also think waiting a week is overkill. Friday or Saturday should be long enough.)
Once the top twenty of this season really got underway, it became clear to me that these four outshone everyone else. I’m not at all surprised it was them. And if the final solos were the deciding facor, it’s Benji in a walk.

The big revelation is tonight, probably about 9:59 ET, but damn, I’ll be watching the whole two hours.
Any predictions?
That’s what drives me nuts–the fact that I know I’ll be watching two hours for the last three minutes. 
I think it’s going to be Benji. If the judges were deciding, it would probably be Travis, but America’s going to pick Benji.
I’ll watch the whole thing, too. You never know. . . something interesting might happen. And we might get to see Musa and Dimitry again! I’d like that.
I don’t think Donyelle is going to win.
I think it’s a tossup among the remaining three. . . but, I, too think Benji will win the whole thing. And I’m OK with that. I’d be OK with any of these three.
Last week, Cat promised that the whole top 20 would be back. That’s why I’ll watch the whole thing and not the last ten minutes. 
Agree – she’s definitely the least worthy to be in the top four. It was all about the shocking dismissal of Allison, who should have been a contendah.
It’ll be down between Heidi and Benji, the close call at the end (which is why I wish they’d made a bigger deal out of voting totals from week to week- it would give a better chance at accurate predicting) going to Benji. The judges obviously want Travis to win, but honestly I wouldn’t wish dancing night after night for Celine Dion on anyone, let alone someone that talented.
See, that’s how I feel. What kind of prize is Celine Dion??? I hope they at least get a car, too.
