Has the internet seen anything like this before? Will this become a new trend, with people doing similar things with other paintings or photos?
I don’t usually pay attention to this kind of stuff but this is bringing me joy, for some reason. It’s not some doofus doing something stupid or dangerous just to get attention; it’s creative and humorous and just rather sweet in a way. Also, I really like mom’s bird painting and I really, really like that the one guy’s version has the bird holding the painting(s).
I also don’t usually pay much attention to such things but, like you, this has tickled me for some reason.

Amusing, yes.
Less amusing is the fact that when I take my lunch break this evening, the TV in the break room will be tuned to ABC News, and this is going to be a featured story. :dubious:

You’d think that after you’d finish your painting and were going to post it to be next in line, knowing that the person after you was going to be painting you that these people would choose better backgrounds to take their self photo. Go stand in front of a flower garden or cityscape or seaside or something. Don’t make the backdrop the corner of your laundry room.
