Okay, so I found this thread on something called Giraffe boards. It’s making me pretty angry. The people there are insulting me, and not just me, but multiple Dopers.
Just thought I’d let you all know.
Mundane and pointless, I know.
Most here know about the Giraffe boards. It was formed by a core group of SMDB folks. Many dopers participate on both boards.

They’ve been doing that for years. It’s sort of a kinder, gentler Snack Pit.

The mods really discourage cross-board posting. They really don’t like it when you bring other board stuff here.
And we’ve gone full circle, with people now reporting this thread.
Once I stumbled across a thread about me on another board. I was already feeling pretty crappy, so the comments really bummed me out.
I got over it. I mean, sometimes I still think about it and feel bad. But it’s not like I didn’t already know there are mean people in the world. Everyone is the target of meanness eventually. My number came up, is all. Big deal.
At least console yourself with this basic truth: However lame or stupid we are, it’s pretty pathetic to get one’s entertainment from talking shit about another message board. If that doesn’t scream, “I’m a loser with no life”, I don’t know what does.
This Giraffeboards board seems to be pretty well-known around here. I guess this outs me as a noob.
Hmm, maybe these people are cowards, hanigng out at that other message board, not even daring to come here in the Pit and pitting people, having to hide instead. Well, I found 'em.

Their comments on sdmb posts make no sense to me. Is it a site for schizophrenics??
This is the first I’m hearing of this, but it sounds awful.
Well, considering that place was founded by a former mod here, and said mod announced its existence here, and most of the posters there are current or former posters here, yeah, it’s pretty well known. It happened as part of the episode now known as Cuntgate, back in '09.
We discourage board wars. If you want to complain about people from a different online community, go do it there.
