Alright dopers, dust off your memories…I’m trying to find a band (or their song/video) that is eluding my most rigorous googling. Are you up to the challenge?
They were playing on MTV Europe heavily in Italy while I was traveling there in Sept/Oct 2004. The song mixes hip hop lyric segments (lyrics in Italian), with yodeling bridges between the lyric segments (I’ve had the rhythm and yodeling parts stuck in my head for a couple of days and desparately need to find the song to flesh out the earworm).
The video for the song is animated (much like the Gorillaz “Clint Eastwood” video), with the lead guy of the band looking a lot like Sideshow Bob. Parts of the video include the guy in a straightjacket, and the band carrying a coffin around.
It’s a very catchy tune, and I’d love to find it.
